Hi all... I know that it has been some time since I last updated. I'm sorry that it has been a while, but I have been going through some things mentally and physically, and have not had any motivation to write or update. I'm actually wanting to take the time to rewrite this whole book, including the first book. I know there are plot holes, and things that couldn't possibly happen, and even somethings that I just know I would hate reading if I were one of you guys. This year is going to be a huge year for me, as I am finally a medical student in university... so I'm hoping you can all be patient and understanding.

Anyways... here's another chapter for you all!

The pack grounds didn't feel much different. I hadn't been visiting as much as I used to, and it honestly had been a little while since I'd come down to the pack grounds. But knowing that not a lot had changed... physically, still kept the feelings of unease at bay within my stomach.

"How long will you be?" I asked Liam as I looked over at him. He stretched his arms, showcasing his tight muscles in his shoulders and arms. I tried not to drool.

"You're not going to stay?" he questioned, eyebrows lifting curiously. I smiled sheepishly at him.

"I'll sit on Ezra and Jenny's balcony. Right in plain sight, if that's what you want," I explained. Liam hummed to himself for a moment, before nodding.

"Depends. I need to grab a briefing from Alfie. So I might be a few hours," Liam answered my initial question. I nodded quickly at him, eyes already searching for Alfie around the grounds.

I opened my mouth to speak, but a scent hit my nose and cut me off, distracting me completely. I sniffed at the air and turned my head.

What the hell was that? It was so familiar.

"What?" Liam questioned.

I sniffed again and followed the smell. Liam followed me, walking slowly behind me. My nose lead me towards a group of new transfers.

The smell swirled around my nose. I tried hard to place a scent to a face. But I couldn't put my finger on it.

Until I saw him.

Corey Everstone.

No freaking way.

He saw me too, and his face lit up as we made eye contact. My beast swirled and howled in happiness as we approached him quickly.

"Ali, what the hell are you doing here?" He asked me as we hugged tightly. I felt my breathing hitch as I realised that I was finally reuniting with family again.

Corey was my mother's nephew. Her older sister's son.

I hadn't seen him in years. So what the hell was he doing in Takiani?

Corey's embrace was so familiar that it was almost scary. His scent filled my nostrils so strongly that I almost choked. He smelt so much like my mother.

I didn't even realise how much I missed her until I got a whiff of his scent. They smelt so similar that it was almost like she was standing right in front of me.

It brought tears to my eyes as I tried to grasp hold of myself. I had to calm down.

"Well? What are you doing here? Are you a transfer too?" Corey asked me again. He stared down at me curiously, eyeing me carefully.

I swallowed the lump in my throat as I took a step away from him. He looked at me up and down, taking in my new and improved state. The last time he'd seen me, I was only young and so little. I hadn't started any training, and I probably still clung to my parents' legs like my life depended on it.
