What do you guys think Brennon is going to Takiani for? How do you think that Ali telling the others the truth will go?

The soft taps on the front door made me groan softly. I had just sat down, and I was just about to get comfortable. I stood anyway, despite my muscles aching slightly from the physical activity I had done during the day.
My body was ready to sit and relax.
I made my way to the front door and pulled it open. To my surprise, Melissa stood outside. She offered me a smile and shuddered a little. She rubbed her arms, the goosebumps appearing on her skin.
She took a small step back. I wanted to laugh hard at her. She was intimidated by me. I wasn't surprised. I could easily take her down in a fight. She knew it too.
She wore a plain grey t-shirt and tight fitted workout leggings. Her hair was swept back into a loose bun. She was sweating and panting slightly from the warmth, but she was still shivering despite the heat of the day.
Her Alpha was weak. She was weak.
"Hi Melissa. How are you?" I greeted her with a fake smile. She smiled back at me and glanced behind me. I saw the look on her face tense a little as I caught Bodie's scent from behind me. He had to be listening.
Bodie's whole family were scared of him. They knew what he was capable of. Bodie was a strong Alpha.
"Hi Alison. I'm fine, thank you... I just wanted to stop by to ask you and Liam to dinner at our house tonight," Melissa started. I heard a snort from behind me. Melissa stopped, looking a little choked up.
Bodie was definitely near.
She was struggling to keep herself together whilst in the presence of two Alphas that were humming and buzzing like she hadn't in a long time.
"It's a thing that we've always done here. We invite the Beta and Beta female over for dinner. Henry suggested it," Melissa told me. I nodded slowly at her and smiled.
She was faking it. There was something more to the story. There was something else. I figured that when Liam and I arrived at the dinner, we'd find out.
That also meant I had to cancel the meeting with the others. I couldn't tell them and then leave to a dinner.
Damnit. No one would be happy about that.
"Sounds fun. We'll definitely be there," I said. Melissa nodded at me. Then that was it. She turned around and left the house. I shut the door and laughed.
"You can't go. You'll have to postpone the meeting tonight. The others need to know the truth," Bodie told me as I turned around. I shrugged at him.
"I'm not going to say no to a dinner invitation. Henry hates me enough as it already is," I said honestly. Henry obviously called the dinner for a reason. Rejecting it would make me look stupid.
"I know, I know. Ugh!" Bodie slammed his fist against the wall and yelled in frustration. His family infuriated him. He despised that he was related to them.
I couldn't imagine being the son of a father that killed innocent people for power.
"They'll all have to wait a day longer. It won't kill them," I told him. Bodie sighed out and nodded. He ran his hand through his hair as he sat at the kitchen table.
I stared at his state. He looked unhappy.
"What's wrong, Bodes?" I asked him as I patted his back in an attempt to comfort him. He sighed out and turned tense as he crossed his arms.
