EDEN-JADE THURLOW

After the success of Eastfield High's football team tonight, everyone was in high spirits. Especially the boys, who had been singing and dancing around the living room of Luke's house ever since we got back.

" I wanna dance with somebody! " Luke sang as loud as he could, his eyes snapping towards mine as I sat on the sofa, rolling my eyes at his loudness.
That was when he grabbed my hand, pulling me up in one swift motion, before spinning me around. I couldn't help but let out a laugh as he encouraged me to dance with him, pretty much giving me no choice as he held both of my hands in his own. I eventually gave in and danced jokingly, hearing the giggles of my friends from behind me.

I turned towards Ethan as we danced, noticing the large smile that rested on his face, as he shook his head at our silliness. This only made me grin more, as Luke and I continued acting like children.

Eventually, the volume of the music decreased and we sat back down, the drinks coming out. Katie and Mackenzie were the only two that had beers, both of them sitting close by one another as Luke poured Ethan and I some coke.
" Fancy a game of truth or dare? " My best friend shouted from the kitchen, my excitement growing, while Katie groaned.
" Are we five years old? " She joked, watching as Luke rolled his eyes, heading towards us.
Ethan was sitting beside me with his arm resting over the top of the sofa, only until Luke jumped in between us, a cackle leaving his lips as he looked at us. Luke instantly cuddled into Ethan's side, swinging his leg over his to tease the two of us. Ethan let out laugh, pushing the boy's body off of his own with a toothy grin.

As I watched Ethan and Luke bicker playfully I couldn't help but smile, so grateful that I had two amazing people in my life. I'd never been happier than I was right now, and it was all down to them.

Everyone eventually agreed to play truth or dare, all of us moving to sit down on the floor, in a circle. I was sitting to the right of Ethan and next to him was Katie, with Luke sitting in between her and Mackenzie, who was on my other side. I grabbed Katie's empty beer bottle and placed it in the middle, so that we could see who would be going first. My bestfriend span it, the bottle spinning at high speed, slowing down and finally landing on himself. He laughed at this, all of us staring at him with a smirk.
" Luke, truth or dare? " I asked, knowing what he was obviously going to pick.
I knew Luke too well. The boy would never turn down a dare. He didn't even have to drink to be the life of the party, he just was.
" Dare, obviously " Was what he said, a small laugh leaving my lips at his words.

We began to think of a good dare, my eyes lighting up when I thought of something hilarious.
" Let me pluck your eyebrows " I announced, Luke's jaw dropping as I said this.
For years, ever since I knew how to pluck my own eyebrows, I'd been begging Luke to let me do his. He had rather bushy brows, not too thick, but they could do with a little cleaning up around the edges.
Katie squealed, grabbing her backpack from the sofa and pulling out her makeup bag. She rummaged around and then revealed to us some tweezers, Mackenzie and I giggling at the expression on his face. He was terrified.

Luke tried to delay it for a while, asking questions about whether it would hurt, or how long it would hurt for. But what he didn't know was that as soon as he had laid down and rested his head on the pillow, we were beginning.
" Ow, fuck! " He practically screamed, his hand reaching towards his forehead, covering his brow out of pure agony.
Ethan was in hysterics, tears threatening to spill from his eyes as he evilly pointed towards his other eye, signalling for us to do Luke's other brow while he was distracted. I did just that, our laughs booming through the room as another high pitched squeal left Luke's lips. God, he was such a baby.
" Enough! " Luke groaned, sitting upright and moving back to his seat in between Mackenzie and Katie.
