EDEN-JADE THURLOW

It was the first lesson of the day, and it was safe to say that I was already bored out of my mind. I was not in the mood to listen to Mr Davidson ramble on about homeostasis, in Biology.

Luke wished me luck as I left his side, stepping into the classroom of the teacher I disliked most. Mr Davidson had taught my brother a few years before, and he hated his guts. Thanks to him, it got passed down to me, along with the attitude.

Everyone was already sat in their seats, as I huffed and made my way to my usual desk, at the very back, left corner of the room. There was a free desk in front of me this time, which I paid no attention to.

Without even hesitating I brought my bag up to the table and rested my face against it, hoping to get in a few minutes sleep. I was beyond tired, but clearly the annoying old man at the front of the classroom had different ideas.
" Bag down, head up, Thurlow. We're not doing this again, this year " He demanded, the hatred laced in his voice like a needle in thread.
I rolled my eyes, though no one could even see that, and slid my bag off of the table, looking up at the front of the classroom. I folded my arms against my chest and sighed, ignoring all of the eyes that lingered on me, in the class.

I was used to it. All of the boys watched me with smirks on their cocky looking faces, and most of the girls cowered away in fear. Well, all of the girls except Mackenzie Anderson, who was the bitch of the school. She would constantly say nasty shit to me about my family, but I never let it get the better of me. One day, though, she'll realise that she's acting way too big for her boots.

" Everyone, this is our new student " Our teacher spoke up, pulling me from my daydream.
I instantly looked up towards the door, as did everyone else, only to see the clumsy boy from earlier on. The apples of his cheeks were a light shade of pink, and you could tell he were nervous by the way his eyes lingered at his feet.
" You're Grayson Dolan, right? " Mr Davidson asked, his eyebrow raised.

That was when the new boy's full eyebrow raised, an eyebrow which was perfectly shaped. He stuttered, before shaking his head.
" Uh- No. That's my twin brother, I-I'm Ethan "

Ethan Dolan. It even sounds hot.

And a twin brother too. Holy shit.

I smirked a little at the sound of this, trying not to laugh out loud when I remembered that Luke had referred to him as Eric Doman. He was always terrible with names, but something about this boy was unforgettable. Looks-wise, of course. He could have a shitty personality, for all I know.

" Oh. Well you can sit in the seat right in front of Eden-Jade " Mr Davidson announced, as if the new boy were meant to know who I was.
The sound of my first name made me cringe, I preferred to just go by Jade. However, what made me try to fight back a smirk was the sight of Ethan's eyes roaming the classroom, landing on the empty desk, before looking behind it towards me.

His hazel orbs met with mine and so I leant forward in my seat, the corners of my lips curving upwards slightly, when I realised that his cheeks had flushed an even darker shade of pink. There was something satisfying to me about frustrating boys and making them nervous, and I had a feeling that it could be quite easy with this boy.

He gulped, his adam's apple clear on his defined neck as he made his way towards the desk, the smell of his cologne evident as he neared closer to me. It was a nice smell, sometimes men's cologne was overpowering, but his smelt divine.

Mr Davidson began the lesson, the rest of the class now paying attention to the old man at the front. However, I completely zoned out, watching as the boy in front of me pulled out his pencil case, and organised everything onto his desk. He seemed to be paying great attention to the lesson, writing everything down, with no hesitation. It was obvious that Ethan was probably a good student, but when Mr Davidson announced that we had to draw a diagram using pencil, I noticed Ethan's shoulders tense up.

I watched as he ruffled through his pencil case, pulling out countless pens and coloured pencils, but not ever pulling out what he needed. That was when he turned towards the boy sitting at his side, asking if he could borrow a pencil. Nobody had one to spare, and when Ethan had ran out of people to ask, I could tell he was hesitant to turn to me.

I waited patiently, realising that I was correct when the boy in front of me slowly turned around, his sharp jawline clenching as he tried to contain his nervousness. He was even hotter up close, and he didn't even know it. That was the best part.

" Um, do you have a pencil? " He asked me, his deep voice sounding seductive, though I could tell that wasn't his intention.
His hazel eyes met with mine and stayed there, his tanned skin so clear, making me unbelievably jealous. There wasn't a single flaw on his face, and I didn't quite understand how.

I smirked, resting my chin in the palm of my hand, as Ethan's eyebrow raised in confusion and curiosity.
" Yep " I answered plainly, not moving my eyes from his for anything.
I didn't even reach for a pencil, I just waited, finding it amusing how even he, began to smile. His smile was cute, though it wasn't a huge grin. The corners of his lips curved slightly and his cheeks were rosy, but not out of embarrassment.
" Well... Can I borrow it, please? " He asked again.
That was when I let the smile drop from my face, making his do the same. It were obvious that he thought I was unpredictable and a little intimidating, but I liked the sense of mystery. Everyone thought that of me here.
" No "

When I denied him the pencil, he turned red, this time definitely, out of embarrassment. However, when I let out a small laugh and pulled one out of my bag, his cheeky smile reappeared, this time bigger than before.
" I'm joking. Here you go " I handed it to him, his hand reaching out to take it.
His hands were huge, much bigger than mine, and it were probably weird how much I was observing this boy. Oh well, that's what I like to do.
" T-Thanks. I'll give it back " He said politely, about to turn around in his seat until he saw the mischievous look that appeared on my face.
" Keep it, pretty boy "
