EDEN-JADE THURLOW

Eyes stared my way as I headed down the hallway, my black boots and dark outfit somehow managing to catch everyones attention. However, the boy at the end of the corridor, leaning back against his locker with a smirk on his lips, was the person that I had clearly captivated the most, the second I stepped foot in the damn building. And boy was I glad.

" Hey- " Ethan tried to say, before I cut him off.
I grinned involuntarily, staring into his familiar, beautiful hazel eyes as I approached him, my hands reaching upwards to cup his face. I hadn't even thought twice before I had pulled him down towards me, standing on my tiptoes, with both of my hands resting on either side of his jaw. Everything inside of me practically begged for the feeling of his lips against my own, and I just couldn't help myself.
" Shut up for a second " I murmured close to his skin before pressing my lips against his, taking Ethan by surprise.
I knew this by the way that he hesitated, a small and adorable sound of shock, almost a hum, leaving his mouth as I did so. Eventually he kissed back, his hands sliding down to my waist, where he had picked me up and placed me onto the kitchen counter only the night before. He was driving me fucking crazy.

When I pulled away from Ethan and stared up at him with a smirk I realised just how shocked he was, his lips plumper than usual and his cheeks pink. He was blushing under the unwanted attention from the eyes of confused students staring at us so intensely, eyebrows raised and whispers beginning. However, when I grabbed him by his black T shirt and pulled him after me, he snapped out of his short daydream.

" Why do you look so surprised? " I asked with a gentle laugh, my happy and giggly mood even confusing myself.
Ethan's presence was so soothing, even just seeing his face and his adorable smile was enough to brighten my whole day. I knew then that he was the reason for that happy and giggly mood. I felt like a naive school girl with a crush.
" I don't know, I just didn't expect that in the first five minutes of the day. I'm not complaining, t-though " Ethan stuttered, his nervousness showing again, only making my heart melt.
It was almost mesmerising to see just how sweet and cute this boy was, but also just how demanding and sexy he was too. I saw a whole other side of Ethan last night, and I wasn't mad about it. Who could be? It was hot as hell. I didn't know whether to talk about last night, or not. Maybe it was something just not to be spoken of.

" Well, good. Get used to it " I smirked yet again, beginning to walk away towards my first lesson, leaving Ethan behind me.
I turned to look at him one last time, noticing the way that the boy stared at me with such a smile, with such a glimmer in his eyes. It made me feel a way that I didn't know was possible, until I met him.

" You fucked him, didn't you? " Was the first thing I heard when I joined Luke at the top of the bleachers, his thick eyebrows raised, and his chin resting in the palm of his hand.
I slid into the seat beside him and pulled out my food, trying not to blow my cover. I didn't manage, though, I knew I could never lie to Luke. He knew me more than I knew myself, sometimes.
" Jesus, Eden-Jade. I knew it would happen "
I laughed at this, almost blushing. I had no idea what Ethan was doing to me, but he was making me become somewhat soft.

" You knew what would happen? " Mackenzie's voice suddenly spoke up, grabbing my attention.
I was confused by this, especially when I turned to see Mackenzie standing with her lunch in her hand, with Katie walking up the steps shortly behind her. Katie held the straps of her backpack and looked at Mackenzie with an annoyed glare on her face when she reached us, only making the popular cheerleader roll her eyes dramatically.
" That she'd have make up sex with Ethan. We all called it " Katie butted in, having heard the whole conversation, my jaw nearly dropping at how apparently everyone knew this.
" That's old news, Katie. I'm pretty sure everyone at this damn school knows that the new kid was getting it on with a Thurlow. It's hard not to hear "

I groaned at this, ignoring Mackenzie's words as she slid into the bench opposite Luke and I, Katie following after her. I couldn't help but notice how quiet Luke was as the girl who broke his heart joined us, his eyes remaining on the ground. He'd told me that he'd forgiven her, but I knew it still hurt. He still had hope for them, that was why.

However, when the brown haired boy that we were only just speaking of walked up the steps, we all turned to face him. Well, everyone else did. I was already watching him.
" Speak of the devil " Luke commented as Ethan looked down at me with a raised brow.
I moved along the bench, shoving my best friend further along with me to give Ethan some more room. When I did this, Ethan sat down beside me, his side squished up against my own.
" I have news " Ethan smirked, ignoring Luke's comment with a large smile on his face.

All of us looked between each-other out of intrigue, especially Katie and I, as Luke didn't seem too confused. Instead, Luke leaned back with a small smirk on his face, as if he knew what Ethan was about to announce.
" I got onto the football team! " Ethan suddenly yelled, all of us gasping, as Luke gave him a high five from over my head.
Ethan looked thrilled, his pearly white teeth on show as he stared at all of us in amazement. It was one of his biggest dreams to play football, he had told me how much he loved it and how he used to play at his old school before his annoying brother got him kicked off the team.
" That's amazing, Ethan! " I couldn't help but smile just as hard as he did, wrapping my arms around his body in a bone crushing hug.
" We have a big game on Friday, and it's Ethan's first time playing with us " Luke told us, Katie clapping her hands from opposite the boy.
" I want you all to be there " Ethan added, looking at me in particular, with a shine in his hazel eyes.
I nodded, not a doubt in my mind that I'd be at that football game. We all would, I'd make sure of it.

However, when I turned to see Mackenzie sitting in silence, I knew that she felt unwanted. She was trying really hard to make things right between us, and especially Luke, but I could tell that Luke was hesitant. And understandably so, she broke his heart.

" Y-You'll be cheering, right, Mackenzie? " Luke spoke up, making my brow raise out of confusion.
The way he asked this with a small amount of hope in his voice made me smile, he really was trying to make things better between them. Mackenzie's eyes lit up at this, the girl nodding her head with a grin. I knew this was a good sign. Friday night was going to be amazing.
" Yeah, of course "
