Chapter 3

Sebastian's POV:

Once I was done with dishes I started to head to the master's bedroom. When I got there I knocked on the door. "Come in." The master said so I did. "My lord it is time for you to get ready for bed. I went to the bathroom and drew up a bath for him, he undressed and went in. "Sebastian, Do you trust that girl? I mean she seems nice and all but she still seems a bit off don't you think?" I replied, "I'm not sure my lord, she seems to be to good to be true, and I do sense something off but I am not sure what it is." "Well I think I am going to have you go and find out what is wrong with her." Ciel got out of the bath, I put on his nightgown and put him to sleep. I stepped out of the room and headed towards Katrina's room. I knocked on the door and heard, "Just a minute." So I waited until the door opened reveling her. "Sebastian, do you need something." She asked politely. "Yes, I was just wondering if you would mind having a tea and accompany in the kitchen before bed." I replied. "Sure a late night tea sounds fun." She followed in her night gown to the kitchen and sat in one of the chairs by the table in the kitchen. I put the tea pot on the burner and sat next to her. "So why are you on the run? I just want to know." I asked directly. "Well as I told you earlier, my fiance tried to kill me and I didn't want to die yet and he keeps following me where ever I go so I have to move every so often." "That's not good, was he always a psychotic freak?" "No, He used to be really nice and sweet until I agreed to marry him then that night it turned to a nightmare." I got up as soon and the pot started whistling and I made us tea, I set a cup next to her and she was about to tell me the story of the night of the almost killing.

The Night of the proposal:

Katrina's POV:

I was so happy, I was going to get married and to Lucus. He wasn't my taste but he is the only suitor that would want me. He was kind and caring of others and not one of the jerks that just wanted the perfect things. I was so lucky to have him. As I was thinking as the door opened reveling a drunk Lucus. "Lucus where have you been darling?" I asked him. "Drinking with the guys at the pub. Why does it bother you?" "It doesn't I was just curious that's all." "Well I think that now you are going to be my wife I shall have you this night." "No, your drunk you should go rest a little until this passes over." "But what is the fun in that?" He asked as he came towards me. "If i'm sleeping then what will you be doing." "Sitting her waiting for you to walk up or I will be sleeping with you." "I don't think so." As he said that he grabbed me and pinned me to the wall and watching me as I struggled to break free. I tried but he had my wrists pinned so much that they were hurting and turning red. "I will have you my love, make no mistake about that." He then began to take out a knife and tried to cut the dress off me. I struggled but he slammed me into the wall almost taking my breath away. He then slammed me into the floor and continued cutting. He got half way until I kick him in him member and ran.  But before I could get out he blocked the door. "You aren't leaving me without even a good bye kiss? How rude!" He jumped at me with the knife and I dodged it with difficulty. Once he fell on the ground I ran for the door but before I could get out he grabbed my hair. He turned me around and had me again but this time he grabbed my hair and cut it, dropping the cut hair on the floor and trying to push me down. I kneed him in the stomach, ran out of the house and ran into the forest only to climb a tree and wait for him to leave.

As he entered the forest he looked around and started searching. My heart was beating so loud, I just hope that he didn't hear it. He looked and looked still couldn't find me. Cursing under his breath as said, "Fine you win but I shall find you and dispose of you so start running and I will come and get you." He basically yelled that then left stomping his feet like a five year old fuming. 

Once he was far enough away, I climbed down the tree and started running. Not knowing where I was going, not knowing who I would in counter. I just ran. Faster and faster even when my feet started to feel pain but I didn't care I just kept on running. Until morning hit and I found a town that I have never seen before. And that's where my new life began.

The Present:

Sebastian's POV:

"I ran to the dress shop and asked the store keeper if he had a spare outfit he could just give to me and once he saw me in a torn dress, my hair cut and mud all over my dress. He asked, 'What happened to you, my dear?' I didn't want to go into it at the time because it still pains me because it happened the night before. So I said, "I wish not to say but do you have an extra outfit." He brought me to the back of his little shop and gave me a pair of old shoes and a dress that didn't look to worn out but the bottom had partly ripped off. But I was willing for anything. So that's my story. You like it?" She asked with a smile but in her eye's I could see all the hurt that man had given her and it as horrible.

"So this man will he be coming here, to the manor?" I asked wanting to know if I can help her out. "Yes he should be coming in about a month or so. Why do you ask?" "So I can kill this man and put your aching heart at ease, is that alright with you?" "Yes." she said and she got up and through her arms around me and cried on my shoulder. I just let her. I'm not sure what came over me but around her it was like I was a whole other demon, nothing like the one I am now. More kinder and caring, like I was when I was younger. She just sat and cried and I just put my arm on her back and tried to comfort her until she was done crying and looked up at me with a tear stained face. "I'm sorry but I must be off to bed. So good night Sebastian." With that she ran off to her room leaving me to think on my own.

'She's not dangerous, she's just a scared woman that wants to be free of a danger.' I think to my self. 'I will find this Lucus and dispose of him, for her.'
