Chapter 16

HopeKook

Hoseok watched as Yoongi waddle into the living room, bag forgotten by the door and standing in front of the couch wide eye.
"Uncle Hobi! 'aby!" He whispered yelled before giggling and watched Kookie as the other little looked at him curiously.
"Neh?" The caregiver teased, picking up the bag placing it on the counter before making his way over to the two. He sat down before picking up his little and laying the boy over his lap, head resting in the crook of his arm.

"Yoonie going to be a good big brother?" Hoseok asked, watching the little think about it before giving the biggest gummy smile.
"For 'ootie?" He asked, before carefully stepping forward removing his paci and placing a gentle kiss on the baby's cheek, having the maknae gurgle in response.

Hoseok has left the two on the floor in the living room, Yoonie coloring and Kookie holding a bottle. The bigger of the two occasionally taking the sippy cup his Uncle Hobi gave him, drinking from it before returning to his picture.

He was humming behind his paci, before stopping and listening, his head turned to the side. Kookie was letting out small whimpers and as the older brother, Yoonie abandoned his picture for later, laying down next to the baby.

He placed a soft kiss on Kookie's head before pulling the boy to his chest.
"Tit awight 'ootie, 'oonie here..." The little reassured, rubbing his friends back just like his dada did and it wasn't long before both little's were fast asleep.

The noise from the kitchen woke Yoonie from his nap, to find himself all alone. At first it didn't bother him until he realized that he couldn't be a big brother if there was no baby. So half asleep he pushed himself up, paci forgotten as he waddled towards the noise, halting in the doorway to watch his friend sitting on the counter half dressed and uncle Hobi preparing food.

"Yoonie!" Jungkook announced when he saw the little and the boy hid behind the wall. Hoseok turning around before lightly slapping his boyfriend's shoulder.
"Remember he isn't used to you when you're big." The older explained and the maknae formed a little 'o' with his mouth before jumping down from the counter.

Crouching he opened his arms and tilted his head to the side, watching the little.
"Not going to give Kookie a hug?" Jungkook asked and watched the little thinking, stepping forward before waddling straight into the youngest of the three arms.

"Thank you for looking after me." Jungkook said kissing the top of Yoongi's head.
"You are the best big brother." The little tilting his head back at that and giving Jungkook one of his gummy smiles.

"Okay, come on gummy bear, time for a snack." Hoseok announced before picking the boy up out of Jungkook's embrace and placing him in the highchair, with his plate of nana and sippy cup turning his attention to his own.

"So baby, nana or dino nuggie?" He teased knowing the boy wasn't little but still enjoying the reaction he got.
"Hobi!" He whined, a pout on his lips and his arms crossed over his chest when he stood from his crouching position.

The little watching the interaction until the two kissed and Yoonie let out a squeal, forgoing his spoon to push the fruit into his mouth with his hands.
When he heard the ringing of a phone and Hoseok stepping out the kitchen, his attention returned to the bunny tooth boy.

"'ootie?"
"Neh?"
"'hen 'ada tet 'oonie?"
"Dada's working gummy bear." Jungkook replied and watched the little's face sadden.
"How about you and I play until you're dada comes, okay?"
"'olor?"
"Anything you want to do." The younger said and before he could pick up the boy, Hoseok came back in.

"Good thing you're big." The caregiver sighed, temples clutches between his fingers.
"Why?" Jungkook still asked even though he probably knew why.
"Joon is dropping of Chim, said there was something he had to do and Chim Chim and big crowds of people don't mix."

An hour later, Jungkook sat with Yoonie and colored while Hoseok tried calming a little that refused to let go of his caregiver. Chim was going through one of his separation anxiety attacks and today seems to be the worst.

"No! No! Dada!!!" Chim yelled, his screaming reaching the living room and Yoonie looked up. Before Jungkook could stop the boy, Yoonie waddle to the kitchen to stand in front of Hoseok and offers his turtle stuffie.

"'him no wry, 'oonie 'ig bwower." Hoseok and the little looking down and after a while the caregiver had no choice but to put the squirming little in his arms down. Chim immediately latching onto Yoonie and the boy smiled.

Taehyung stepped into the Hopekook household, surprised it was so quiet and watched with a shocked expression as his boy fed another little and under the supervision of yet another little. His gaze shifting to Hoseok and the older just shrugging as if saying he just let it go, to keep the peace.

"'ada!" Yoonie exclaimed when seeing Taehyung but didn't move to hug his caregiver.
"What you doing gummy bear?" Feeling left out and instead taking a seat next to Hoseok to watch.

"'oonie weing 'ig bwower."
