prompt: cam and jaren are two strangers who just happen to be at the same new years party, after crashing into each other and taking a liking to one another the two share a small new years kiss, that springs their relationship.

jaren didn't normally like parties, but this one was fun. unlike high school or college parties, this one was more sophisticated and less drunk.

craig, one of jaren's best friends, invited him to the party. he claimed he knew the host and was pretty good friends with him. jaren agreed to come but as soon as they got here craig disappeared to go find some other people.

so jaren just stood alone, going through twitter and instagram. he'd like to leave, but craig is his ride and he doesn't have his wallet to pay for an uber.

"hey, i've never seen you before." a delicate, clearly drunk, voice said.

jaren hummed, looking up.

"oh, hi. um craig invited me, then went somewhere so yeah.." jaren cursed himself for being so awkward.

"im fitz, or cam," cam giggled, sticking his hand out to shake jaren's hand.

"jaren."

"so this is like an all youtuber party or something, that's what john said. i'd be guessing you're a youtuber right?" cam took another drink of the alcohol in his hand.

jaren hummed, "yeah, smii7y. spelt s-m-i-i-7-y"

fitz chuckled, "that's weird spelling!"

jaren smiled, not saying anything back. they stood in silence, not awkward silence.

jaren looked at cam again, glancing up and down. he was super tall, he looked over 6 foot. his blond hair was a mess and his eyes were a really bright blue.

suddenly everyone started cheering, counting down. jaren looked at his phone, seeing it was almost new years.

"i know we just met.." cam started.

"but i think you're super nice.."

"and cute.."

"what im trying to say is.."

"kiss me?" jaren smiled at him, nodding and leaning in to kiss him.

the kiss was weird at first, jaren's never kissed a boy but after a little bit he decided he liked kissing boys. they both smiled into the kiss.

it was short and sweet, cam tasted like alcohol and cigarettes but jaren didn't mind.

they smiled at each other after pulling away from the kiss.

"um yeah that was amazing.." they both laughed at jaren's awkwardness.

"would you like to get coffee with me sometime?"

jaren rolled his eyes but nodded. pulling cam into a tight hug.

they just now met but it felt like they knew each other forever.

sorry this chapter kinda sucks, it was a bit rushed. i didn't post yesterday cause of writer's block so i needed to get a chapter out. thats why it sucks, so im sorry. (i apologize about typos too, i'm lazy)
