matt took a long hit of the blunt in his hands, smiling at the feeling he received. he handed the blunt to eric; who had to take his hand out of his jacket pocket. 

the shorter smiled and took a hit. he then threw it to the ground, stepping on it as he continued walking. 

"its nice out," matt spoke to break the silence. eric just hummed and glanced at the boy next to him. 

the boys stopped at a playground, matt immediately climbling on the equipment and screaming once he almost fell off. 

"maybe it's just the weed but you look cute up there." eric complimented as the other prepared to throw himself down a slide. the taller blushed and chuckled awkwardly. 

"matthew come here." eric said sternly after a few seconds of silence. 

the brunette hesitated before standing in front of the weirdly short male.

eric stared at the boy in front of him; admiring him. matt looked stunning with the moonlight bouncing off him. his brown eyes captured the light perfectly, making the shorter male stare longer then he should have. 

it all happened in slow motion, eric had grabbed matts collar and yanked the boy down. causing the boys lips to collide and fall into sync. 

the weed running through them made time slow down, making the kiss seem a lot longer then it was. 

the two pulled away, and matt panicked. he bolted, trying to run his fastest in the direction of the house. erics yelling could be heard behind him but he continued. the farther he got the quieter eric became.

cameron was confused when matt ran into the house and straight for his room. 

at first he thought the two idiots were playing tag or something along those lines but the idea was rolled out when eric wasn't anywhere to be found. 

the blond tried knocking on matthews door. but he gave up after multiple failed attempts. he decided to sit on the couch and wait for erics arrival. 

and when the boy returned an hour later smelling like alcohol cameron was immediately concerned. 

"what happened?" cam stood from the couch and rushed over to his very drunk friend. 

"i kissed him and then he ran and so i drank. leave me alone." 

cameron, clearly concerned, stood in front of the older male. stopping him from walking. 

"nope. go fix it." cams dad side came out, he hated when the boys fought. they were all best friends and one fight could ruin it all. the blond wasn't surprised the two kissed. one, they were intoxicated. two, they clearly liked each other. 

eric sighed and made his way towards matts room. he glared at cam as he passed by, causing the taller to roll his eyes and sit back down on the couch. 

"matt," eric slurred as he softly knocked on the boys door. 

the door opened slowly, revealing a very distraught matt. his eyes puffy and red, and a frown on his lips.

"lets talk." eric pushed passed matt and sat on his bed. he then patted the spot next to him and matt took a seat with a huff. 

eric hesitated before speaking again, "im sorry i kissed you. i guess-"

the other immediately cut him off, kissing him softly and pulling away while smiling.

"i hope that was okay, i like you a lot eric." 

eric smiled, "i like you too." 

and then they kissed again. 

"i told you so!" cameron shouted at toby from the other side of the door. 

eric and matt shared a look, before bursting out laughing. 

idiots.
