Mary barely could sleep all night. When last guests went home, there was finally silence in house. But even so, she couldn't fall asleep. About 7 am she got out of bed and went to the shower. While she was there she realized she overreacted last night. So what if Aston was flirting with some other girl? They have only met once, why did she think that he would like her? When she got dressed, she went downstairs. Mary walked into living room and saw the mess. It was awful. She opened the windows first to get some fresh air. Then,she started to clean up. She collected papir glasses in one bag. When she was almost done with it, Marvin came down.
„What are you doing?“-he asked.
„And good morning to you too. I think it's called cleaning up.“-Mary replied and they both started to laugh.
„I mean, why are you cleaning up? It was our party, we are suppoused to be cleaning up the mess, not you“-he started to help Mary.
„I know, but you told me it was my house now and I like my house looking like house, not ZOO“-Mary smiled and gave him an empty bag.
„Why did you leave so early? Did someone did something to you?“-Marv was worried.
„No, I was just tired and I wanted to lay down and get some rest.“-Mary went to the kitchen to find something to wash up the entire room.
„So, how did you find this place, it's amazing!“-she said as she walked back in the room.
„On the Internet. Once I saw the pictures I knew it was the right one. Aston was so excited that we are going to live together. He wanted to let you know himself but he didn't have your number. All this time he didn't stop talking about how awesome it will be when you move in.“-Marv made a grimace like he said something that he wasn't allowed. Mary turned away and smiled. Maybe she will have a chance with Aston after all? If he was thinking of her, maybe he does like her. Her thoughts were interrupted with two voices in hallway. Aston and that blonde girl from last night were coming from upstairs laughing. It was obvious what happened last night. Mary felt the anger raising inside her.
„Bye, guys! It was an amazing party“-the blonde girl said as she passed by. Aston was walking behind her with his face turned down to floor. He was embaressed that Mary knew of his one night stand. When the girl left he returned to Marvin and Mary.
„So, can I help?“-he asked cheerfully what made Mary even more angry.
„You can wash up the entire room, everything you need is here. Marv, I'm going to lay down a little. I didn't sleep well last night.“-Mary said and walked out of room.
„You're so stupid, bruv.“-Marvin said.-„I was putting a nice word for you and then you come with that girl and ruin everything!“
„What did I do? I tried to talk to her last night but she avoided me.“-Aston replied.
„So you had to hook up with that girl to feel better?“-Marvin asked.
„No, I just… I don't know why I did it“-Aston sat on a chair.
„Well, if you ever had a chance with Mary, you've ruined everything now. So, the best is that you don't even try anything with her.“-Marvin said.-„And, come on. You won't get out of this one. You have cleaning up to do.“-he laughed.
Mary went upstairs and locked her door. A tear started to fall down her face. Why did she believe he was different? After Marv told her that Aston was thinking about her, she stupidly thought they will have a chance. More tears started to fall. She took her teddybear and lied in her bed. Once again, she was crying because of a guy. Aston was exactly like Nick. Her ex-boyfriend. The only guy she ever loved and a guy who hurt her the most. „Stop it!“-Mary said to herself.-„They are not worth your tears. You won't cry over guys anymore.“-She took her notepad and a pen and started to write a song…
