„Look at me! I look like a penguin.“-Aston shouted coming down the stairs.
„A little bit“-Marv laughed.
„You look amazing!“-Astons eyes widened and he had a big smile as he saw Mary dressed for the charity. She wore a beautiful purple gown and curled her hair a little.
„Thank you“-she smiled back.
„Are you ready?“-Marv asked.
„Yes, we can go now“-they got into the car and picked up JB and Oritse. They were all glamorous and excited to attend this kind of extravagant party.
„Do you like it?“-Mary asked them as they sat at their table.
„Are you kidding me? This is amazing!“-Oritse responded.
„I agree. And after all this time without going out, this is a nice change“-Aston continued.
„Just don't get used to it yet!“-Mary said and turned to see her friend speaking about the charity. Soon it was time for Mary to perform. She got up on the stage and sang one of her songs. Everyone was in silence during her performance, they were overwhelmed.
„WOW! Amazing performance!“-guys shouted as she came back to the table.
„Thank you“-she smiled shyly.-„If anyone needs me, I'll be out, I need fresh air“-she said getting up. Guys stayed in and watched other performances and speaches. Aston was restless because Mary was out for a very long time. He excused himself and went out. He was looking for Mary but he couldn't find her.
„Get off of me!“-he heard a female voice. He walked around the corner and saw two people fighting.
„What's going on there? Is everything alright?“-he asked approaching.
„Aston!“-Mary shouted.
„Shut up“-Aston heard a male voice.-„Everything's fine. We are just having a talk.“-he said.
„It didn't sound like that. Mary, are you okay?“-Aston looked at her.
„She's fine. Go away!“
„I'm not asking you. Mary?“-he got closer and saw that the men put his hand over Mary's mouth.
„Let her go!“-Aston shouted and threw him on the floor.
„Are you okay?“-he turned to Mary.
„I am now.“-she replied. Aston saw tears in her eyes and how frightened she was.-„Aston, look out!“
Aston turned around and saw the men walking towards him. He punched him in the face with all of his strength. It knocked him down so Aston knealed down and continued to punch him.
„Aston, stop it! He's not worth it! Please, for me“-Mary begged. Aston stopped and looked at her. He got up and hugged her.
„Take me home, please“-she pleaded in his chest.
Okay, let's go“-Aston rubbed her back. When they got home, Mary went straight to her room. Aston didn't want to disturb her so he went to his room and changed his clothes.
„Can I come in?“-Mary asked knocking.
„Of course“-he responded.
„I can't sleep alone tonight. Can I sleep here?“-she came to the bed.
„Sure“-Aston smiled and patted the place next to him. She lied next to him and put her head on his chest.
„Who was he? Do you wanna talk about it?“-he asked playing with her hair.
„Nick“-Mary sat upright and looked him in the eyes.-„My ex-boyfriend“
