Aston and Mary were in the car, listening to Michael Jackson songs and laughing. Mary finally let her guard down and she spoke with Aston without any anger. Aston was happy just being alone with her. He reminded himself to thank Marvin later for this. He knew Marvin made up that job so he could give Mary and Aston a day off. After a while of driving, he pulled off.
„We have to leave the car here.“-Aston said and opened his door. Mary followed him taking her bag and walked out of the car. They were walking when a girl recognized both of them and she wanted an autograph and picture with them. While Mary was writing in her notepad, girl was speaking to Aston. Mary could tell that the girl cannot believe she met them.
„Can I ask you a question?“-she asked when Mary returned her the notepad.
„Of course you can“-Mary smiled.
„Are you together? I mean like a couple.“-she asked. Mary was confused and she wasn't able to speak.
„Uh, no, no, we are just friends.“-she said hesitating.
„But you look like you're in love. And you make a cute couple.“-the girl insisted.
„Thank you, but really we are just friends.“-Aston confirmed.
„If you say so.“-girl said and continued.-„Thank you very much for he autographs, can I take a picture with you?“
„Of course“-Aston said. Girl asked a man nearby to take a picture and she stood between Aston and Mary. When they finished, girl said goodbye and Aston and Mary contiuned walking to London Eye. They were both in silence because of what girl just said. Soon they've arrived and Aston paid for the tour on Eye. Mary offered to pay because she had more money but Aston was a gentleman and he didn't wanna hear about it.
„Oh my God, the view is amazing!“-Mary said when they reached the top.
„I agree. It's my first time up here, too you know.“-Aston confessed.
„Really? Why haven't you been here before?“-Mary was curious.
„I didn't have much time. Besides, I didn't have anyone to take with and I didn't wanna go alone.“-Aston replied honestly. Mary began to laugh but when she saw Astons serious face she stopped.
„You expect me to believe you didn't have a girlfriend to take here? Or any girl that you liked? Please, girls must throwing theirselves to you.“-Mary said.
„I'm not gonna deny that girls don't come to me with some crazy stories and fantasies but none of them was special. I do go on dates but I can't find a girl with whom I could imagine to be in a serious relationship.“-Aston looked away. He couldn't believe that he just said that. He could never easy open to people about his feelings. Everyone knew him as a funny and wild guy but only few people has he let in. And with Mary he felt he could talk about everything. He trusted her.
„What about you? Is there any special boy you'd like to take here?“-he asked.
„No“-Mary said-„I don't think I'm ready yet for all that drama over again.“-she shut her mouth hoping Aston won't realize what she said.
„Why would it be a drama? Were you heartbroken recently?“-he was concered. Mary hesitated to speak. She didn't know Aston that well but she felt she could trust him.
„It's a long story. Maybe I'll tell you someday about it.“-she couldn't make herself to talk about Nick. It hurted to even think about it. He is the reason she doesn't open to people easily anymore. Although she was getting over him, she still couldn't talk to no one about him.
Aston realized she doesn't wanna talk about it so he changed the subject. Soon they were down and he helped Mary to get out of the cabin.
„So, where do you wanna go now?“-he asked.
„Um, what do you say we learn a little bit of history? I'd like to go to the Tower Brigde.“-she was excited.
„Well, I don't particulary fancy history but as I said earlier I'm taking you wherever you wanna go.“-Aston replied.
„What are we waiting then? Let's go, slave!“-Mary hit his arm lightly so they both laughed. They were enjoying a beautiful day outside, it was very warm, the weather was unusual for London but on one was complaining. Aston and Mary went to Tower Bridge and explored it's history. Aston actually enjoyed being there. For the first time he found history interesting.
