The rest of the vacation Mary avoided being alone with Aston. If there was a chance they have to stay alone in the room, she would immediately go to her room or make some excuse and walk away from him. When they came back to London, she continued to avoid him. Aston noticed that and he was frustrated because there was nothing he could do about it.
„Hey, bruv, what's up? You've been distracted these past few days“-Marvin asked Aston after a long day of interviews.
„Nothing, I'm just tired because of all the work“-Aston replied.
„Come on, bruv. I know you better than this. Tell me, what's going on with you?“
„I don't wanna talk about it“
„Does it have to do with Mary?“
„Why would think that?“-Aston looked at him.
„I noticed the distance between you in the last few days“-Marv said.
„Apparently I'm not good enough for her. She told me something about she wants me to live my life to the fullest and not have to think about girlfriend, just crap talk. She made up some reasons because she doesn't even wanna try it“-Aston looked away.
„I know it's difficult for you, bruv, but I'm sure she has her reasons. And when you think about it, it makes sense. You would have to worry if someone comes too close or if people make up stories. Let's face it, you're 21 and not ready for a serious relationship. Don't ruin your friendship with Mary over some short relationship“
„You're taking her side? That's exactly what she told!“Aston shouted.
„I'm not taking sides, Aston. I'm just being realistic about it 'cause you can't think clear now.“
„Whatever“-Aston shook his head.
„Don't be mad at me now. I just wanted to be honest with you“
„It's ok. Everything is ok“-as Aston said it, Mary came home.
„Hi, guys!“-she greeted them.
„Hi“-Marvin answered.
„How was your day?“-she sat next to Marvin.
„We're exhausted. It was a really long day“-he answered looking from Aston to Mary.
„Soon it'll get worse“-Mary smiled.
„Worse? Why are you smiling?“-Marv was confused.
„'Cause I'm coming from a meeting and you have a green light for a tour around UK“
„What? That's amazing!“-Marvin shouted.-„I have to call JB and Oritse“-he got up and walked out of the room.
„You're not excited?“-Mary looked at Aston.
„I am. It's just I have other things on my mind now“-he answered.
„What is more important then this?“-she asked.
„Us. I keep thinking about what you said and I still can't understand it“-he shrugged.
„I already explained you everything“-Mary got up trying to leave. Aston grabbed her hand and forced her to stay.
„You didn't, you just gave me some stupid excuses I'll never believe.“-he leaned in for a kiss but Mary put her hand on his lips.
„Don't. It'll ruin everything“-she whispered and ran away before Aston could react.
