I open my eyes and groan as I look around. My eyes are quickly drawn to the small figure curled up against my side. Keith snores softly and I reach over to play with his hair. He lazily bats my hand away before slowly opening his eyes.

"Hey Princess."

I smile. He rolls his eyes and buries his face in the blankets.

"Shut up."

He says sleepily.

"We should get ready. Today's finally our busy day."

"No."

He grumbles.

"Keeeith! C'mon. It's time to get up."

I try to move but his arms fasten around my waist and he doesn't let go.

"I have to go!"

I laugh.

"You're warm."

He says in return."

"We can't stay in bed all day."

"We can. You just don't want to."

He replies while shifting over so his body is sprawled over mine. He looks up at me and pouts.

"Five more minutes."

"Three."

He sighs and buries his face in my chest.

"Three."

He mumbles.

"What took you so long?!"

Allura shouts as we walk over.

"Someone."
I say while looking at Keith.

"Isn't a morning person."

He rolls his eyes.

"Says the person who spends half an hour on their morning skin routine."

Before I can reply Allura cuts in.

"Forget I even asked."

She points at us.

"Formal wear?"

"Yep."

"Do you have everything?"

"Yep."

She nods.

"Okay, we're starting with a carriage ride in town. We'll stop and get hot chocolate and go to the bakery and such. After we'll go to the children's home and give money and presents. Then we'll go to the tree and father will do his speech. Afterwards we'll light the tree and have the ball."

She looks at us expectantly.

"Okay?"

"Okay."

She lets out a relieved sigh and rests her hand on her swollen belly.

"Good. Let's go."

We follow her out to where Shiro is waiting with Coran and a carriage.

"Ready?"

Shiro asks. Allura nods and both Shiro and Coran help her into the carriage. Shiro climbs in after her and we soon follow.

"Okay, see you four at the tree. Guards are already stationed around."

"Thanks Coran."

He smiles and waves as the carriage starts to move.

"Have fun!"

As soon as we enter the town people are gathering on the sidewalks. Allura waves and flashes a bright smile at them as we pass. I lean over to Keith and whisper in his ear.

"This reminds me of when we got married."

He smiles as I pull back and replies quietly.

"Extremely awkward?"

"Yep."

We continue on our journey until we finally reach the familiar little shop. The carriage stops and Shiro helps Allura down while I grab Keith's hand and pull him into the shop with me.

"What kind of hot chocolate?"

"There's flavors?"

I stare at him in shock.

"You're kidding. Right?"

He gives me a confused look and I sigh.

"I love you, but you really need to get out more."

He tilts his head.

"Thanks?"

I pull him up to the counter and point at a screen filled with different names.

"Any one. You pick."

He looks at me then at the screen. He scans it before replying.

"French Toast."

"Really?"

He turns to me and shrugs.

"My dad would always make it for me back on Earth. It was his favorite."

"I thought you said you didn't have any family stories."

"I don't. He died when I was little."

"But you still remember that."

"I- Guess I do."

He bites his lip and looks down.

"He did lots of little things."

"Hey, you don't have to worry about it. If you don't want to talk about you don't have to."

He nods and offers me a small smile.

"Okay."
