It Was All Worth It

(Authors Note: Shallura child. Yes...)

 I wake up to the sound of scampering paws. My head shoots up and I yelp when I'm run over and toppled to the ground. The weight is soon gone and I sit up.

"Kosmo?!"

The wolf pauses before running back in my direction.

"What happend?"

He comes to a stop in front of me and rubs his head against my shoulder.

"Hey, where's Keith?"

A door opens behind me and Anora walks in.

"You're awake!"

"What happend?"

"Allura had her baby. It's a girl named Estrella. She came as fast as she could and found you guys asleep. She used her magic and healed Kosmo before people came in and took Keith to a healing pod. He should come out any second now."

"Can we go see him?"

She nods.

"Kosmo has been racing everywhere. I'm sure he'll be excited to see him."

She helps me stand up and I follow her out the door. Kosmo races ahead of us ands waits at the door. Anora stops outside the door.

"I have other things to do. You go wait."

We share a quick hug before she turns and walks away. I turn towards the door and it opens for me to enter. Kosmo dashes in and makes a beeline towards the healing pod. I follow in suit and stop in front of it. Kosmo paws at the pod before sitting and staring up at it.

"Soon buddy."

I inspect the scar around Keith's neck. The burn is gone but there's still a dark ring or scarring. I sigh and sink to the floor next to Kosmo. He looks over at me as if sensing how I'm feeling and curls up next to me.

"It's my fault Kosmo. I'm sorry I brought this on him. If I would've just given myself to Lotor none of this would've happend."

He growls softly in warning.

"What? It's because of me you both almost died. If he-"

Kosmo's growl grows louder and he stands quickly. He stares at me and I'm frozen in shock. He barks angrily before stepping forwards and dropping himself onto my lap. Even though he doesn't fit he manages to make it work. I sigh and drape myself over him.

"Okay. I won't."

After waiting for a few minutes Kosmo stands quickly.

"What is it boy?"

He turns towards the healing pod and barks. Just as he does the door to the pod opens and Keith falls out. Before I can react Kosmo is moving forwards and catching him. Kosmo teleports and soon him and Keith are right next to me. Keith groans and slowly opens his eyes.

"Lance?"

"You can talk again!"

I pull him towards me and wrap him in a hug.

"You constantly scare the crap out of me."

"But you love me."

"I do."

I sigh.

"I really do."

"Hey, did Allura have her baby?"

"Oh, yeah!"

I pull back in surprise.

"I haven't seen them yet!"

He rolls his eyes and smiles.

"Then we should go."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

I help him up and we walk out of the room with Kosmo. We reach the room as my father walks out. When he sees us his smile grows.

"It's good to see you're all okay."

We nod and he puts a hand on my shoulder.

"I've sent guards to go check it out. He's gone for good this time."

"Thank you."

He nods and starts walking away.

"I know Allura would be very happy to see you all."

He calls behind him. When he's gone we continue and I open the door. We enter and the first thing I notice is Allura. She's holding a small wrapped up bundle in her arms and Anora is perched next to her on the bed. When the door opens they both look up.

"You're all okay!"

Allura exclaims quietly.

"I was so worried!"

"We're fine."

I reply while stepping over to the other side of the bed to look down. Estrella has the same features as Allura but the small amount of hair on her head shows the similarities to Shiro.

"At least she still has white hair."

I comment. Allura smacks me gently.

"You have our mothers hair. Your hair doesn't have to be white at all to be a royal."

"You're a mom now."

She looks up at me and smiles.

"I never thought I could love anything as much as I do her."

"She beautiful sis."

Allura look back down at the baby in her arms.

"I know."

She says softly.

"It was all worth it."
