"Is it time to go to the children's home?"

Allura nods as they walk down the sidewalk.

"Are you excited to see Lenny again?"

"How can I not? The child is an angel."

"Something like that?"

Allura says while stopping in front of a building.

"Okay, we can't stay long. Father makes his speech in an hour."

"Then let's go."

Allura follows Lance in and Shiro stays behind with me.

"You ready?"

I look at him and shake my head.

"It's okay."

"Standing here reminds me of my childhood. Not a good time I might add."

He puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"If you need to step away don't hesitate. We'll understand."

"Okay."

We step into the building and walk down a short hall until we reach a big room. Allura is sitting down talking to a little girl while Lance is being tackled by children. A woman yells at them before visibly sighing and walking away. When she spots us she walks over.

"Your highnesses."

She greets politely.

"Hello."

Shiro replies before looking around.

"This place is very nice."

She smiles.

"Thank you. We try our best to keep it in tip top shape for our kids."

"How many kids do you have?"

"Right now we have about sixteen."

"Is it hard to find homes for them?"

He asks while focusing on her.

"Sometimes. It depends on the child and on the parents. We have to find a good match."

"Ah."

"We're very grateful for your kingdoms donations and the gifts you give to the children. It helps a lot."

"It's all worth it."

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"We can leave early if you want."

I lean into his side and sigh.

"We don't need to. I'm really fine."

"Okay."

He grabs my hand and I watch as he intertwines our fingers.

"Did you say hi to that kid you and Allura were talking about?"

"Yeah. He was excited to tell me he got adopted."

"That's good."

"It is. He's been here for three years. I'm happy he found a home."

I look over at him.

"When is it too soon to have kids?"

He looks at me and laughs.

"According to Allura; never."

I smile and push him playfully.

"You know what I mean."

He sighs and leans his head on mine.

"I'm not sure. Whenever you feel ready."

"Do you think we're ready?"

"We should wait another year. I'm still nineteen. We should both be in our twenties before we do."

"True."

"You two ready?"

We look up to see Shiro.

"Yeah."

We get up and follow him down the hall.

"Bye Jennazai."

Lance waves to one of the workers. She smiles and waves back before we leave.

"Get ready to cry."

Lance says as we step up into the carriage.
