As soon as I see her my heart picks up and I find it harder to breath. She's dressed in a light blue dress covered in sparkly snowflakes. Her white curls are pulled up in a high ponytail with a few loose curls framing her face. Her eyes shine brightly and a beautiful smile breaks out across her face when she sees me.
"Grayden!"
She comes to a stop in front of me and looks down while pushing a loose curl behind her ear. She glances up nervously and I can't help the smile that takes over my features.
"You look amazing Anora."
She grins and looks up all the way. Her crown sits perfectly on her head and she's wearing dangly icicle earrings.
"Thanks. You don't look to bad yourself."
Before I can answer there's a crackle before a loud voice announces the arrival of the king.
"I gotta go."
She says before turning.
"See you later!"
She says over her shoulder before walking away leaving me breathless.
"She's precious isn't she."
I jump and turn.
"What do you want?"
"Love is a dark thing. I wouldn't get too attached to someone you can't have. That is, unless you take them yourself."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He glances at me and his eyes spark dangerously.
"It means tonight I'm getting my revenge."
As soon as the words leave his mouth he's gone. I stare in shock before turning and looking at the tree. Everything clicks into place so suddenly that I'm already running before my brain can catch up. I run down to where a carriage is waiting to find it empty.
"Where's Prince Lance?!"
A man with orange hair turns to me.
"Why do you need to know?"
"It's an emergency!"
The man looks me over before responding.
"He went to go get Kosmo."
"Where is that?"
"The castle."
I turn and run back the way I came.
(Authors Note: Damn. Coran is a nice guy. If it doesn't make sense why he told Grayden it's because he saw something there. Grayden may be Denzen but from the look on his face and how worried he sounded Coran realized that he was trying to help not hurt.)
