When we opened the door I was immediately confused. Key and Chaz were standing at the door, but they had come in separate vehicles. What kind of double date is this?
"Why did the two of you come in separate cars, I thought this was a double date?" Lacey asked. It seems that she is just as confused as I was.
"It will be a double date. We just figured that we would shake things up a little bit first. At first, I just thought that the boutique that you and Mariah had focused on making big named products more affordable. When I actually walked around the store, I realized that you were launching your own brand. I also saw a new design that she was working on in her sketchbook. So, I would like to take Mariah to a small fashion show that a few of my friends put on every year. This way she can bounce her ideas around with a few fellow artists to get a bit of inspiration."
"Lacey, I would like to take you out to this dance studio that I like to go to. As a graphic designer, I like to go out and kind of people watch. I like to see what everyone likes to pair together to get inspiration for my art. Being that you are a fellow designer, I thought that maybe you would like to take a bit of stroll on the board walk. I also know that you love to dance and the studio is conveniently located off the board walk."
These guys really put a lot of thought into this. I was really torn. I wanted to see how things would work out between Lacey and Chaz, but this fashion show sounded like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
"What do you say?" Key asked as he held his hand out for mine.
I decided to just go with the flow and let the cards fall as they may.
"I would like that very much thank you." I took his hand and he led me to his car.
Lacey and Chaz headed in the opposite direction and got into his car.
