I hug Cam.

Me-" Thanks again."

I kiss Cam on the cheek.I smile at him. He turns red.

Cam-" Go find Adi."

I rush back to the tent to  where I see Adi.

Adi-" Bailey... I thought you left..."

Me-" Adi I should have not left. I just can't just ask you to stop protecting me. I was unfair."

Adi stands up.

Adi-"No I need to controll myself. I need to backoff a bit. Try not to jump to conclusions."

Me-" I love you Adi."

Adi-" I love you too."

I hug Adi closely.

Adi is my bestfriend.

bestfriend

A close friend but better. Usually someone you are very close to and can trust with anything. They are there for you when you are down. They will wipe your tears and cheer you up. If you've had a , they'll call you that day or the next, to make sure your alright. They are there for you, and will always have your back. They'll give advice and you can talk about anything. When you get in a fight with them, you can always forgive them. If theres a problem and you them about it, you may both be pretty upset but in the end it will all work out.
Most importantly your yourself around them. And they love you and you them
.

Adi-' Lets go home."

From there one thing led to another.

I exchanged numbers with Cam and made a tough goodbye.

Turns out his aunt lives about 2 blocks over. He is going to be going to the same school as us.

From this party I learned quite a bit. One thing I can say for sure... Is always follow your heart.

I know for sure it may seem in the moment not the best choice...

Like in my case.... Kissing Cam.

It is truly confusing. I am hoping though I can figure out why I did not.

I will most likely see Cam in the next week or so.

There is a party this Friday. At Jojo's house. Pretty much the same people are invited to the beach party.

Hopefully I don't run into Tal again.

So right now it is about 2 days since the party. My mom and Dad have been crazy busy.

Good news for me I don't have to listen to their " talks about my life choices".

Man it feels good not having to listen to them.

I left a note on my fridge saying where I was. I said I was going to Adi's but I really am going  to meet up with Cam at Tacobell. It used to be our tradition every week to go.

I am 18 yet I don't have a car but I have a license.

My parents said if I get into a top university they will pay for my living expenses and car expenses. So I still have a while before I hear the word car come out of their bank accounts or mouths.

Bright side to this situation Cam has a pretty nice car.

So I can count on a few people for a ride.

I have been waiting on my driveway for 20 minutes. I finally see Cam pull up.

I open his passenger door and hop in.
