Chapter 45- Tough Times

Its been another 2 weeks since Cam left for his job. He was gone for a couple of days but he is at another job now.

Today was an average day.

I walk downstairs to see my parents.

Mom-"Hey Bailey. Whats with the sad face?"

I walk and sit at the table.

Me-"Just a bit tired."

Dad-"We have to leave soon for work. We expect your still going to Adi's for the day?"

I forgot about that.

Me-'But Adi is with Emily shopping today."

Dad-"Then Tal is there right?"

Me-"Yeah I guess."

Mom-"Is there a problem with that?"

Me-"No."

Dad-"So whats going on with Cam?"

Me-"Everything is good."

Mom-"So you guys are still dating?"

Me-"Yeah he is out of town for another job."

Dad-"His job does not seem stable."

Me-"Since its senior year Cam is auditioning and booking good smaller rolls. It builds a go base for a resume. So after senior year he can have  good experience with various roles."

Dad-"That is smart."

Mom-"Yeah I guess it is,"

Me-"Can I just stay here alone today?"

Mom-"Me and your dad are out of town for the next couple of nights. We don't want you here alone."

Me-"ok."

Me and Tal were still not on ok terms. We have not been talking recently.

Its gonna be awkward.

Mom-"You might wanna pack an overnight bag."

I go upstairs and quickly pack a bag.

I leave my house saying bye to my parents.

I walk to Adi's house.

As I expected Tals car was in the driveway and not adi's.

I knock on the door.

Tal-"Adi is not here he's with emily."

Me-"Remember."

Tal-"Oh shit thats today. Come inside."

I walk inside with my bags.

Tal grabs my bag.

Me-"Thanks."

We walk up the stairs to the spare room.

He puts my bag on the bed.

Tal-"Make yourself at home."

Me-"Thanks. When is Adi gonna be back."

Tal-"Him and emily are out  for the day. He said late like midnight."

Me-"Ok then."

I walk out of the door and begin to walk  down the stairs.

Tal-"Bailey... We can't keep things this way."

Me-"What do you mean."

Tal-"Cmon, your staying here. Its just you and me are you really just gonna ignore me."

Me-"I can try."

Tal-'Bailey, I am serious.'

Me-"I am too."
