"Do you want to be friends?"
"Lei what are we going to do?" I asked. Lei had just lost her job and we had no money to pay. We had to figure out some way how we can get more money.
"I don't know Elle. I'm only 19, I can't work at a proper job. I dropped out of school because of you. I mean- not because of you but to raise you well" she said on the verge of crying.
My bad side would tell me to ignore her and let her face the problem.
But I had to change
I had to find a way to help us....

I arrived at school and immediately I was greeted by Lisa. I was in no mood for games today.
"Care to tell me why you are ignoring me and being rude all the time?" She said looking sternly at me as she placed her hands on her hips.
I shrugged.
"I'm not in a good mood today Lis. I'm just going to go to the bathroom" I said making my way there.
"Are you pregnant or something?" She yelled. "Oh my God, you got knocked up"
What?
I shook my head a "no"

Shawn
While I was walking down the school corridors, I noticed Elle walking in a slow pace. Her head faced down, with headphones in her ears.
I made my way over to her.
Dang she looks prettier everyday
But this had to stop.
"Elle" I yelled to attract her attention.
She looked my way and once she noticed me, took off her headphones.
"Shawn?" She asked.
I could notice a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"Hi." I inhaled deeply and started "listen Elle, I think you've got this all wrong. I don't usually do parties and stuff although I appreciated your invitation. So sorry to disappoint you but I'm not up to those type of activities" I said.
Wow
She looked up to me. Her eyes looked tired. "I get it Shawn. I'm sorry" she said and walked away. But before she could leave I grabbed her hand.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
She looked at me. Her face was about to break.
"Yes" she said bluntly.
"You can talk to me" I said hoping she wouldn't cry cause when people cry I really don't know what to do.
She started to cry.
Great
I engulfed into a hug hoping that it would help and started to rub her back.
"Thanks." She said as we broke the hug.
"It's nothing really. I can't burden you with my problems" she said sniffing.
Elle Thompson was about to open up to me.

"Please talk to me. At least you can get a bit off your chest" I encouraged.
She nodded. "I just have some financial problems at home." She said.
"Do you need any help? I mean anything" I said.
"No just one thing- Do you want to be friends?"
