Next day

I walked downstairs while I waited for my ride.

"So you're working tonight?" Lei asked while she sipped her coffee. I nodded at her.

"Lei, go around the city and find yourself a boyfriend"I said.

"Why?"she asked offended.

"Because you're lonely"I said.

"But-"

She was cut off by a honk outside.

"Bye, good luck on your hunt"I said cheekily and went outside.

"I can't simply imagine you in an apron" Shawn said giggling.

"Shut up. Shit"I cursed. "Look behind you"

I noticed Lisa making her way towards us. Her eyes were as if they were on fire and her feet where stomping so hard, they were as if they were shaking the ground.

As soon as she walked near us she swung her arms and slapped Shawn's face.

"What the hell did you do with my friend? What drugs did you give her you pedophile" Lisa yelled making me go deaf for a split second.

Shawn rubbed his temple and gave her a confused look.

"What the hell Lisa" I yelled at her and pushed her away.

"You. Why didn't you wait for us today. We went to pick you up"she spit angrily.

"Oh sorry, I guess I forgot to tell you that I have a new ride"I said shrugging.

I grabbed Shawn's hand and dragged him away from her.

I lead us as far away from her and any other person. As soon as we found a quiet corridor I stopped. I turned to face Shawn and examined his face.

"Sorry for that. Do you need any ice or water- I don't know"I suggested as he continued to rub his swollen temple.

"It's fine. I'll soon forget about it"he said but I could notice his eyes watering. He was trying to keep back his verge of tears. Without even thinking, I engulfed him into a hug. I rubbed circles on his back to try and comfort him.

"Thanks Shawn, you're the best"I said whispering into his ear.

And then the bell rang

We broke our moment, said goodbyes and departed in different ways.

I entered my English class. This is the class where I usually sit next to Lisa, but I'm trying to avoid her as much as possible.

I ended up changing my usual place and sitting next to a random brunette girl. I tried to speak to her, maybe start a small conversation.

"Hi I'm Elle"I said. She turned around to face me. "Hi I'm not interested"she replied and turned back to face the front of the class.

I mean I was expecting it. Before I met Shawn, I was a huge dick and probably still am.

"I'm sorry"I whispered. She looked over to my way and slightly smiled.

"Alexandra but you can call me Alex"she said winking at me

The bell soon rang and I could feel Lisa death glaring me as she exited the classroom.

I turned over to Alex.

"Hey do you have somewhere to go at lunch?" I asked.

"No, I usually just stay in the library. All the students in this school are horrible"she replied.

Ouch but true

"Not everyone"I said smiling. I grabbed her hand and lead her to our secret hideout- backstage.

There was Shawn, waiting for me to join him for lunch. As soon as he noticed me making my way over to him, his eyes lit up.

"I thought you were ditching me"he said chuckling. "No I got held up"I said.

"Shawn meet Alex"
