"Yeah I want to see Moana"
As soon as we arrived, I grabbed my keys and lead the way to my house. I opened the door and yelled out for my parents but no one answered.
I turned over to Elle who was busily fidgeting with her hair.
"Looks like no one's home so we have the whole house to ourselves."I said as I entered the house.
"Wow your house is really- big"she said while looking around her.
I slightly chuckled to myself and lead her to my room.
"Sorry for the mess" I said while trying to make the room look more presentable.
Elle shrugged. "It looks way better than mine"she said. "Did I tell you the good news?"she asked while leaping onto my bed.
I gave her a confused look.
"I found a job. It's nothing big, just a waiter at a diner. But it'll help my sister"she said.
My eyes lightened up.
I walked over to her and engulfed her into a hug.
"I'm so happy for you Elle"I said.
"Woah Mendes, don't go all emotional on me"she replied.
I huffed and broke our hug.
"You ruined the moment"I said as I locked my eyes with her.

"So what are we going to do?"she asked.
Ruined it.... again
I shrugged.
She stood up and walked over to my guitar.
"Is this decoration or do you actually play?"she asked while examining it.
"Just decoration" I replied shortly.
"Bullshit. You can actually play. Play me something" she said getting excited.
"Maybe next time. I still haven't finished my last song yet"I replied as I hopped onto my bed.
She pouted at me.
"Next time you're singing"she said as she sat next to me.
"Should we watch a movie?" I asked
"Yeah, I want to see Moana" she replied.
I simply shook my head but didn't argue.

"I've been staring at the edge of the water" she sang along. Her voice is so angelic.
It was currently 7pm. After the movie we ordered a pizza.
Suddenly we heard a knock on the door and Aaliyah came in.
"What do you want Al?"I asked.
"Can I borrow your phone charger?"she asked. I nodded and she grabbed the charger and left.
"Who's that?" Elle asked.
"Aaliyah my little sister" I replied.
"She's cute" she replied.
Then my mum entered the room.
Do these people know what privacy is?
"Shawn did you do your laundry - oh hello, who are you?"mum asked as soon as she spotted Elle.
"Mum this Elle, she goes to school with me" I said.
"Nice to meet you Ms Mendes" Elle said as she stood up from bed.
"Call me Karen honey. Well, I will leave you two alone. Shawn don't forget to clean up your room" mum said as she left the room.
"I should go home" Elle said.
I nodded.
"I'll drive you home"I said as I handed her the jacket.
"Thanks for everything Shawn"
