"Well it's about time right?"
"So what are we doing first?" Alex asked as she made herself comfortable on my bed.
I was shaking.
I was nervous.
I walked over to her and sat next to her. I rested my head on her shoulder and sighed.
"What's wrong babe?"she asked. I lifted my head and looked at her.
"Shawn and I kissed last night" I blurted out. Silence fell as Alex was trying to process what I had just told her.
"Well it's about time right?" She exclaimed as she engulfed me into a hug.
"What?" I asked shocked at her unexpected reaction.
"I mean- I see how Shawn looks at you and how you look at him. Girl, I'm so happy for you two, even though I'll be third wheeling now." She said getting all excited.
"You think he likes me?"I asked.
"Wait you two aren't a thing? Do you like him?"She asked as she started to eat up the homemade popcorn .
I shrugged. "I don't know. Do I like him?"
"What happened last night?" Alex asked.

Last night
The kiss was amazing. I didn't know he was such a good kisser.
I pulled away and noted a hint of redness on his cheeks.
"Are we doing this?"I asked.
"What do you mean?" Shawn asked looking dumbfounded.
"Are we going to start and date and then eventually break up and break our friendship?" I asked.
"Well, I mean if you look at it that way" he mumbled.
"I don't want to hurt you Shawn" I said as I sighed deeply.
"I'm willing to risk getting hurt if it means being with you" he said as he tugged a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"Can I at least think about it? Ask Alex" I asked.
He looked heartbroken but forced a smile at me.
"Sure"
"I want us to be a thing Shawn, I just don't want to hurt you" I said.
I walked over to him a placed a soft kiss on his temple.
"Talk to you tomorrow?" I asked as I picked up my stuff to leave home.
He nodded

"So what are you going to do?" Alex asked.
"I don't know Alex" I said sighing.
"Girl, text him now and tell him to come over. I'm going to be your matchmaker" she said as she handed me my phone.
I did as I was told.
"He's coming over in about ten minutes" I informed Alex already shaking.
"Great we have ten minutes to think about what you're going to tell him" Alex said standing up while inhaling deeply.
