Day 9

Tuesday, we have a pep rally.

I wake up to my alarm as per usual and feel a bit better than I did yesterday. I Sit up and walk to my closet and grab my white arctic monkeys t-shirt, black shorts and black and white converse.

   I change then go to the bathroom and do my daily routine. I leave my hair down, which is naturally straight so I'm a bit lucky I guess. I grab my black jansport backpack and phone.

   I had checked the weather the night before and it was going to be warm so I got to wear shorts, but I know as soon as I get to school I'll want to change. Oh well too late now.

   I walk out the door and sit on my driveway. I unlock my phone just playing games, but I look up when I hear a car honk and I see Lucas Hemmings hanging out of his car window in front of my house.

   I roll my eyes and walk over to him and ask "What in the world are you doing?" Sounding a bit nicer than yesterday. He laughs and says "just dropping in on my friend to tell her she looks nice today." I roll my eyes again and say "Whatever, i look like shit as per usual."

   He looks at me and glares saying "No! You always look good! Be positive." I see my friends moms car and say "You gotta go my rides here!" Luke nods and winks as he starts to drive off leaving me in the street.

   I shake my head and blush then hop in my friends car only to be bombarded with questions. "That looked like Luke! Who was that and what did they want?" Kat asks.

"It was my new neighbor asking for directions." I respond lying. She glares at me, but turns back around in her seat. When we get to school I go to my locker and put my backpack in my locker and go to my English class.

   When the bell rings and everyone finally arrives the announcements come on saying "Hellllloooooo Terran tigers!!!!!! We have a pep rally in the gym during 3rd period! We have some exciting news so get ready!!"

   They shut off and I cringe at the excitement in the speakers voice. I hear Luke laugh at me, but I ignore it as Ariana and Rachel ask him what he's laughing about and him saying nothing.

*pep rally during 3rd period*

I walk into the gym feeling awkward and find someone I know to sit with. I look and find one of my friends Annabelle and rush over to her. She pats the seat next to her and I sit.

   I look in front of me and see Luke, well the back of Luke's huge head I had to tap him on the shoulder and Said "Hey you either need to shorten your quiff or move a bit to the right because I can't see." He laughs and moves a bit, but would move back seeing it annoyed me.

   He was sitting with Bo, Tre, Jai and Rachel. Ariana and Aleisha were cheerleaders and they usually had to do pep rally's so yeah I had to see them even more. I turn to Annabelle and ask "What do you think the announcement is gonna be?"

   She turns to me and says "I don't know, but I heard were doing some stupid dance." I laugh because despite the sweet name she could have a mean mouth. "Please don't be a dance, please don't be a dance." I whisper over and over as Annabelle laughed.

We stop talking when we hear the band playing and see the cheerleaders come out dancing in there tiny skirts and tops making me cringe In disgust.

   Once that was over Aleisha is handed a microphone and she says "Hi Terran tigers good morning and today we have a big announcement." Then she hands it to Ariana who says overly excited "Yes we have great news!!!! Drum roll please!."
