Day 13

Saturday, is a bit different

When I wake up something's around my waist making me panic. I sit up and hear groaning and see arms were around my waist. The arms had tightened when I sat up so I froze.

I looked over and saw Luke, he was still asleep so I tried everything to wake him up moving, biting his arm, even flicking his arm. His mom walks in and sees then she says "Wake him up with a kiss."

   Then winks and walks away making me blush. I try and move, poke, squirm, anything, screaming, but nothing seemed to work. I think and say he won't feel it, but it's worth a shot.

   I lean down slowly holding my hair back so it doesn't hit his face. And gently press my lips to his forehead. His eyes flutter open and he says "Well good morning!" He sounded too chirpy then I scream "HAVE YOU BEEN UP THIS WHOLE TIME?!?!"

   He nods sheepishly and I grab a pillow and hit him as hard as I can repeatedly. He grabs my wrist so I couldn't move them and says "If it makes you feel any better I waited for that kiss! I held in all the pain all for that kiss."

   I roll my eyes and flip him the bird extremely angry that all my hard work was for nothing.

I get out of the bed, but Luke still had my waist so he pulls me back down and says "I'm sorry please forgive me?" I nod just so he'll let go of me.

  Then get up and walk to the window and notice that it was now sunny I grab my dry clothes that had dried before the power went out and went to the bathroom. I changed, when I walked out I ran into Luke and said "Thanks for letting me stay, but I gots to head home now."

   He sighs and says "Okay let me change and I'll take you home." I nod and go back to his room. Liz comes in and says "Listen sweetie if you ever need a place to stay or just wanna come over you can! You are perfect for my son!"

    I laugh and blush saying "As flattering as that is your son Is like a best friend to me now." She sighs and says "You'll be more that that eventually." She winks and leaves with a basket of dirty clothes. I shake my head blushing and looking down.

Luke walks in and asks "What happened why are you all red?" I laugh and just say "I was just telling your mom how we were JUST friends."

   I say emphasizing the just. He looks like he forces a laugh and says "Yeah she's crazy." I smile falters a bit, but I compose my self and say "So can you drop me off friend?" He nods and latches our pinkies.

   We walk down the stairs and down to his car that was sprinkled with rain droplets from last night. He opens the passenger door as usual and goes round to the drivers side. I wait for him to get in and we start to drive. The ride was silent.

When we get to my house he turns off the car and gets out with me. I go to the top of my drive way then turn and ask him"What why are you following me?"

  He laughs and says "I just wanted to give my best friend a hug before she abandons me for the weekend." I laugh and walk into his arms that he had opened while talking. I wrap my arms around his neck and he has his around my waist.

   I had to stand on my tip toes,but only a little. We hug for a while, but I pull us a part and say "I'll see you tomorrow at the park 2:00."

   I'm about to go but he pulls me back and kisses my forehead making me blush like tomato. I wave a quick bye and run into my house. I walk in and notice a paper in my back pocket. I grab it and see it has numbers on it.
