Day 27

Saturday, we fight.

➳Luna➳

Saturday morning I'm woken up by a constant knocking at my door. I groan as I get up and walk over to it opening it. I see my mom and she say emotionless "Your friends here to see you."

   I furrow my eyebrows as she walks back to her room probably going to sleep again. Then I see Luke walk in and my eyes almost pop out of my head. All I was wearing was small pajama shorts and a off the shoulder sweater. I immediately hide behind my door and say "Luke what are you doing here?!?"

   He looks at me and shrugs saying "Well I wanted to come get you because you didn't show up at the park and 2. You didn't tell your mom we were dating?!?" I look sheepishly at him and say "Well about that. No I didn't tell her because she would've over reacted and wouldn't let me hang out with you so...... Yeah"

   Luke rolls his eyes and says "Whatever. Now let me in your room!" I look at him like he's crazy and say "No! I need to change, you just stay there." He crosses his arm and pouts as I retreat back into my room throwing on some jeans and an all black shirt and my black leather boots. I walk out, pass Luke going into the bathroom to get ready.

When I finally come out I see Luke leaning on my front door looking bored, when he sees me he stands up straight and says "Yay you're ready! Now let's go!" He grabs my hand, I try to stop him as I say "Lucas I forgot my jacket."

   He doesn't look back at me as he pulls me out of my house saying "It's okay I'll let you use mine!" I get dragged all the way to the playground. When we get there I was shivering and Luke looks down at me immediately coming to my side and putting me under his arm and jacket, warming quickly.

   "I'm so sorry princess I didn't mean too, I just got excited about the park and I-i-" I cut him off saying "Luke it's fine I'm okay now." Luke calms down and pulls me tighter under his coat and arm as he walks towards the swings.

Luke sits on a swing, but pulls me into his lap. I laugh as he shoves his face into my neck making his hairs tickle my face. "Luke you dragged me all the way to the park. What's up?" He shakes his head and stays buried in my neck. Sometimes I could feel him lightly place his lips to my neck, warming my whole body.

   I was at peace at that very moment, it was nice. The cool winter winds blowing and nipping at my uncovered face, Luke's very warm and protective arms wrapped around me, making me feel secure.

   All of a sudden I hear a phone ring and I knew it wasn't mine because I always left mine on vibrate. Luke removes his head from my neck and reaches into his coat pocket pulling out his phone. "Hello?"

   I see Luke's facial expression change from calm to pale white scared as the person on the other line answers "Please stop talking to me!" He yells into the phone and ends the call then throwing his phone on the pebbles below us.

I look at Luke and see he looks as if he's about to kill someone. "Lu-" I'm cut off by. Luke standing up causing me to fall to the ground. I sit shocked as Luke walks over to the picnic table and starts punching the lone tree beside it.

  I run over to him and put one hand gently on his shoulder causing him to freeze. "Luke what's going on? You've been acting really weird lately, but this right now is the worst it's been."

   Luke looks sad, but still very much angry as he says "There's stuff going on that I can't tell you about okay Lu! I just want it all to stop!" I watch as he sits on the picnic table like we normally do then I say "Well Luke I can't help you if you don't tell me what's going on. You need to tell me something, anything."

   Luke shakes his head and says "No. I can't. Just promise you'll never leave me okay." I look at him and say honestly "Luke I will always love you, but you have to tell me something or i have to leave right now. I don't like being confused."

   Luke sighs and says "Please don't go!" I stay still standing in the cold wind, feeling cold without Luke's arms around me "Luke I can't do anything if you can't tell me what's going on! Relationships are about trust and all I've done is trust you, but right now I don't know what's going on?!?" I yell getting frustrated.

Luke then yells back "I CAN'T TELL YOU!WHAT DONT YOU GET ABOUT THAT?!? I can't lose you when I just got you." He buries his face into his hand and sobs.

   It was one of the most heartbreaking sights I had ever seen, but I couldn't hold him this time because it involved our relationship and I knew it.

   I just didn't want to go assuming the worst if I didn't know. "Luke I'm gonna go home." I turn around and run home as quickly as I can. I hear Luke screaming for me, but I just keep running. I finally get home and already see 12 missed calls from Luke.

   I lock myself in my room and just sit on the floor thinking about the worst possibilities, but I keep denying them to myself not wanting to break myself even more than I already am.

Maybe Luke just has a cousin who's stressing him out or family issues, past relationship issues, commitment issues. Or I can just face the horrible reality that he's cheating on me, but I won't let myself think that. I can't .

   I'm broken enough and I can't be more broken, shattered, destroyed than I already am. I see my phone ringing and see Luke's name flash across the screen. I answer and ask "what?" Emotionlessly.

   I hear Luke crying as he says "Lu? I'm sorry. Please tell me we're still together. There's so much I need to tell you." I rub my face with my hands and notice a wetness signaling I had been crying, I just never noticed.

   "Luke we'll talk about this tomorrow at the playground. I'm tired right now so goodnight." Luke sighs and says "I love you Lu and always will. Goodnight." I don't say anything, I just hang up and go into my bed wanting to sleep away all of my emotions.
