Day 18

Thursday, is a bit messy.

I wake up about 10 minutes late, I jump up and run to the bathroom doing the daily and putting on my makeup then walk to my closet and decide to be daring and wear a black skirt, floral black top and gray combat boots.

   I grab my phone and backpack, then walk out of my house quietly. I walk out and see Luke there, I feel my anxiety and pull down my skirt and try to calm myself down by breathing.

   I walk to the passenger side and see Luke already opened the door for me. I force a smile and get in the car and Luke says "Hi, you look beautiful today Lu." He smiles while looking me up and down making my face burn. Luke laughs and we drive to school.

When we get to school I'm about to get out until Luke grabs my hand and says "Wait I-I have to ask you something."

   I sit back in the and nod for him to go one. He scratches his neck then nervously says "My family is having dinner t-together a-and my mom wanted y-you to come so will you? I mean y-you don't have to I-if you don't want to."

   I bite my lip nervously not knowing what to say. I had bad anxiety and meeting Luke's family might not be the best idea, but my mouth starts talking before I can stop it "Sure, I'd love to." I say forcing a smile.

   Luke smiles and let's out a sighing breathe. I then get out of the car and start walking towards the school.

*in the hallway, walking to lunch*

"Luke even if I get food, I'm not gonna eat it." Me and Luke were on our way to lunch and currently having an argument about me eating lunch. "Well I will make you eat it!" Luke says making me roll my eyes and say "Whatever."

   Luke wraps his arm around my shoulders and when I try to move he tightens his grip. I groan and hit his stomach which does nothing. We walk to the lunch line and I see Lindsay.

  I wave to her and she waves back staring at Luke mostly. "Why do you even want me to eat?" Luke turns to me when I say that and says "Because I care about you and your health."

  We walk through the line and I get lunch for the first time in 3 years. It's not like I never ate because I did, I just didn't like school food.

We walk to my lunch table and Luke sits next to me and Lindsay sits across from Luke practically drooling over him. Luke still had his arm over my shoulders so I elbow him and say "You can move your arm now."

   He blushes and removes it. I sit there watching Luke and Lindsay eat until Luke says "Am I gonna have to feed this food to you?" I shake my head no and say "Look, I'm just not hungry."

   Luke rolls his eyes and says "At least one bite." I look at the ugly, fake looking version of a tamale and say "Fine just one." I grab the plastic fork from the tray and grab some on it.

   I'm about to lift it to my mouth, but my tray is flipped by someone and it lands all over my outfit. I look down at my clothes in shock and hear someone that I didn't want to say "Look here fat ass is trying to eat food!" Aleisha finishes with a laugh.

    I roll my eyes and am about to walk out of the lunch room only to be stopped by small thin figure, Aleisha. "What?" I ask quietly, she looks at me and says "You stole something very important to me and your gonna get it. I don't even know how you a fat, ugly, tall, bitchy, hairy, did I mention ugly? Girl steal Luke away from me. You don't deserve him or anyone. Ugh."

   Her words bring tears to my eyes, but I just look down not daring to look up until I feel a sting on my cheek and notice she hit me.
