Stefan's POV
The next few days had been quiet a blur. On return from that meeting I had called Liz to get the papers ready. Since we could no longer enter Mystic Falls, she promised me all would be taken care of.
Liz too had been devasted about the news of Damon's and Bonnie's death. She didn't show it but you could feel it. Bonnie had been like her daughter too, after the 3 - Elena Caroline and Bonnie were best friends. Bonnie and Elena had been no different to her. They were just like Caroline to her. And it was no hidden fact Damon and Liz had become quiet a friends.
That was the thing about Damon he never showed his good side. He always pretended to be this evil guy, yet he had made this great friends in Liz and Alaric and obviously Elena falling in love with him...
I still loved her but it wasn't the way it was before. We were more of friends now. I still cared for but as friends. Ever since she had turned, her personality had been magnified and she was no longer the girl I had fell in love with. I had come to terms with that and I was happy for Damon and Elena. They both were what the other needed.
