Something Bigger

Sweating. Panting. Grasping for whatever little air I could, I kept running. I had this deep fear, a bad really bad feeling in my gut like I had to escape. I kept moving deeper & deeper yet my fears had no relief. Until...

I reached a clearing. There was someone standing in middle of the thick fog. It was difficult to figure out who it was but as I went nearer I could make out a red robe with the hood on. As I tapped on the shoulder she turned around. I saw her blood red ruby eyes, then I blinked!

I was standing alone in the middle of the forest, the fog cleared with no sign of anyone's presence just a red hood clutched in my head. My heart was pounding, I could hear it...

Stefan's POV

I woke up with a jerk from my sleep. That was quiet a dream.! Those eyes! Ever since I had seen them they had visited me every night. All I could do was think about them. I needed fresh air I thought desperately. I looked around than at my clock. It was still time until dawn so I quietly left the house in my car and started driving in some direction that could give me peace...

I felt like I had been driving for quiet sometime. When the first rays of sun hit my windscreen I halted. I had no idea where I was. I looked around and what I saw, shocked me.

I had reached the countryside mansion where Ava lived. It felt like some part of me had just pulled me here. I don't know what was happening to me but those eyes had me enchanted. It felt like they were saying a thousand things, just waiting to be read. Her looks can be decieving but the depth of her eyes showed the maturity of experience.

"...." "...."

My super hearing caught some noise. It was coming from somewhere around the mansion. Maybe the backyard. I focused my hearing at the source to get better sound of what they were speaking.

"So tell me why wait till a celestial event. I may have not known you for long but I guess the last 6 centuries of my life that I have known you, I know this spell is your game. I mean you can do it in your sleep and yet get it right! So what's the wait?" It was someone new but seems to know her well.

Now even I was intrigued. The way Klaus, Elijah and now this woman spoke of her it seemed she was kinda a big thing in world of magic. Now even I wanted to know her reply.

"Common Ava whats with the secrets. Please tell me! It's eating me up!" Told the female trying to pursue her.

"Well Xena haven't you heard, Curosity Killed The Cat" she finally replied. Her voice was like music.

"Oh I don't care! I am already dying.!"

"Patience dear. Good things come to those who wait & I promise this will be something big. Bigger than anything you've ever seen" Ava concluded.
