The Training - Part I

Stefan's POV

Her eyes. Smooth skin. Soft black hair. Slow music...

Ever since returning from the housewarming ball, all I could think about was the dance I did with her. I don't know where I had got the sudden guts from but I knew it was only chance I had and luck was in my favour too.! She said yes to the dance.! The evening had been rolling perfectly until ofcourse Esther created the scene... & rest is history

For now I was scavengering around in the woods trying to find something to feed. So much had happened that I might have missed to feed and now that was weakening me like hell. It had been few mins but I still couldn't find any... until I heard a heartbeat. It was slow & shallow, like an baby dear.. I didnt want to hurt it but few sips wouldn't kill it & so I vamp speed there....

It was sitting peacefully in the lap.. Wait! Ava!

There she was, Ava sitting on a rock & gently patting the baby deer almost as if putting it to sleep. Maybe this was the human side Klaus was talking about..

"Stalking me now" she said without even lifting her attention from the deer. The sound woke the deer, who than descended from her lap & pranced away

"Sorry to disturb. I was just looking for feed" I said.

Looking for feed? When did I get so bold about my eating habits! Was it because I didn't have to hid from her who I was. She already knew.

"From the looks of it you surely need one. Come sit down. Rest for a while" she said pointing to the rocks nearby. I too was a little bit strained & hence sat down.

"Well so Mr. Salvatore what are you doing in the woods. I am sure you wont find any humans so deep in, unless you were planning to feed on me." She said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile as her humor.

"I dont feed on human blood. I follow a different diet" I told her

"A vampire on animal blood is like a human on tofu. It feels you up but never is satisfying Mr. Salvatore." She said with a chuckle, almost as if finding my diet funny.

"Human blood makes me crazy. Once I start I can't stop. I become a ripper, a monster I can't indentify." I explained her. I dont know why I was having a heart to heart with a person I didn't know, but it felt good, relieving.

"Thats because you never embraced who you are & no one taught you how..." she said & than continued after a bit of after thought

".. you know what, I'll train you. I'll teach you how to feed without rippering the heads off. I'll teach you to embrace who you are."

"With what another deal?" I questioned her.

"Nah. I am just bored. Lets us just say I am feeling good. Doing good.! Meet you tomorrow morning Mr. Salvatore. Dont be late." She gave me a final look & pranced away...

I sat there comtemplating as to what had happened. The girl I couldn't stop thinking about, the girl whose eyes kept me awake all through the night; I was gonna meet that girl everyday?!

I couldn't help but smile. The day just got better.
