Amidst all celebrations, Damon & Elena managed to just sneak away. The moment they were alone, Damon had his arms around Elena and held her tightly as if never to let go. To his surprise Elena pushed away.
"You broke your promise" she said trying to show anger
"I promised you I would be back & here I am" Damon said trying to reason with her
"Well tell that to the Elena 2 months back. They were 2 hell of months. Not knowing whether you will be back or not. Every dead end in the search to bring you back tore me up from inside. I Love You Damon. To imagine a whole of eternity without you was my own personal hell. From the morning to night to doing little daily chores everything reminded me of you & the time we spent together..." she broke into tears mid sentence
"Shh.. Shh.. don't cry baby. I am here now" he said taking her back in his arms & slowly stroking her head.
"These past 2 months have not been easy for me too. I didn't know where I was or what was happening. Everything was so confusing & frustating. I had been ready to give up but it was your love that kept me going. I held on the hope of meeting you again. You don't know how many times have I thought about this moment" Damon continued.
Slowly Elena's tears stopped and she looked up at Damon. The world around them ceased to exist as they were lost in each others eyes. Damon held Elena's face by her chin in his hand & enclapse her lips in passionate kiss. It was like that was all they had wanted. Everything was alright now, or was it?
