Stefan's POV

She asked me not to be late, so here I was at the crack of dawn back to the clearing I had met her yesterday. At first I thought maybe I took her way too literally when she said meet me in the morning but alas! There she was already waiting.

She asked me to sit on the rock same as yesterday & asked me to relax, feel the cool air & enjoy the beauty as the slowly rising sun shed light on the vegetation around. I wondered why she asked me to but I too felt the calming effect taking place & I was surprised at how tensed my muscles were. Never before I had let myself so free, the fear of ripping heads off had me holding myself in control.

The next part she told me to think of a fear, she wanted me let the fear take over. I thought about becoming a ripper & let the effect flow over me. My breathes got shallow & beads of sweat formed on my forehead.

"Nope. Its not working. Think of something more mortifying!" She said

"What? How do you know?" I asked her surprised.

"Your aura. I can feel it but what we need for this to work is more bigger!" She continued.

Over the next few hours I tried everything, from fear of death to losing Damon, Elena, Lexi; nothing worked. Soon it was afternoon & we decided to take a break.

"The fear needs to be of great magnitude so that we can relate it to over feeding so that you are conditioned." She said in her calming voice. While sitting I looked around the clearing, it seemed familiar. It wasn't until I looked at her red hood that it came striking back. It was the place from my dream. As I recollected it, I remembered the fear. The fear of unknown! Thats it! I dont know how but I felt somewhat sure it was gonna work!

We returned back to work! I let it crawl to me, soon my veins were pulsating and sweat trailing down my face.

"Thats it! She squeked with a smile. Her musical voice spilled over me like relief.

Finally we tried the whole process with blood bag. I was not sure plus with her standing here, I became somewhat cautious of showing my true self.

She put an encouraging hand on my shoulder, I looked in her eyes and everything around disappeared for me. My feeding eye creases showed & my eye clour changed as I took sip from the blood bag. I didn't think I would stop but I did! It was like magic.

I stepped back, putting the bag away I noticed it was already evening. The sky was painted with the beautiful colors of the rays of setting sun. I turned around to look at Ava, she wasnt there...
