Chapter 29 | McDonald's

" good women do still exist, but
our stomachs aren't flat
AND
we talk back. "

"We could hear you both," Larissa looks at me temptingly. "Tell me everything."

"Hear us what?" I made myself dumb, faking I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Cut the shit, Quinn-Quinn. Tell me every detail."

I crossed my arms under my chest. "I didn't ask you for details when you told me you had done it with Jonas."

"You could've and I would've gladly given it to you." She winked. "Tell me now!" She started becoming inpatient.

Me and Lari were tanning while Damian and Jonas went somewhere to play soccer or beach volleyball or who knows what.

"It was good." I tell her.

"I need more. What was he like, rough, slow, I don't know, did he bring like a fucking vibrator–"

"No, Lari! That's gross, plus, I don't want to talk about it."

She looks to the side, fixing her sunglasses over her head. "Fine, if you don't want to tell me it's okay. I'm just gonna let you know you poorly hid the hickeys on your neck and me and Jonas were eavesdropping through wall in our room, and we could hear everything." She slips down her sunglasses onto the bridge of her nose and puts her earphones in her ears.

Oh, so now I didn't have privacy?

I turn away from her, finding it petty and disrespectful that she gets mad at me for not telling something that is completely personal, plus, completely ignoring me and Damian's privacy.

I grab my phone and text my parents, saying I was at the beach. I send them a picture of the perfectly blue sea and the sky.

Yesterday after me and Damian had gotten off of the shower, we got Larissa and Jonas and we all went to have dinner at the hotel. We had a couple of mock tails and held normal conversations but the air was a bit awkward. Not between me and Damian, but between us two couples.

Now I realized that it was because they eavesdropped us having some personal time. I found it very immature and even rude, and my feelings were actually hurt, and yet I never told her anything.

When Damian and Jonas arrived with a volleyball under their arms, I went up to Damian and kissed his lips, asking him to take me to get a drink.

"Yeah, sure, should we all–"

"No!" I cut him off, walking up to my stuff and slipping on my white jeans shorts and flip flops. My hair was already dry from my previous swim in the water, and scarily, my freckles were too dark on my face now.

Damian said I looked even prettier then before but I was sure he was just being nice, because I looked hideous.

"What's up?" He questioned, sliding one of his hands in my jeans pocket.

I looked up to him, crossing my arms under my chest.

"You know yesterday when we were having dinner at..." My eyes fell on a bunch of girls of my age staring at Damian, who was shirtless. My lips parted as we continued to walk but I eyed every single of them, that started giggling when we walked past.
