Chapter 2 | Flirting one-oh-one" 'I don't believe in magic.'
The young boy said.
The old man smiled,
"You will, when you see her. "L U X U R Y
He was so tall my head had to tilt upwards a few centimeters for me to get a nice look of his face, and I wasn't disappointed. His eyes were the prettiest eyes I had seen in a while, a very very light tone of honey, as if he was looking straight at the sun. His lips were half-way open, showing a bit of his perfect white aligned teeth, as his eyebrows were a bit frowned. He had a dark tone of blonde hair, almost light brown, they seemed so soft I only had the wish to run my fingers through it– just so I could see if they felt as soft as it looked like they did.
His lips closed as his eyes roamed my face for a few more seconds. I decided to speak up, my eyebrows frowning with the pain on my shoulder, "Ouch."
"I'm sorry," He mumbled almost straight away, licking his lips and finally realizing his hand was on my arm. His voice was not what I imagined, it was way deeper, and his Adam's apple went up and down as he spoke.
I moved my arm away from his shoulder more harshly than I pretended to, looking down. "I am so sorry," He apologized again as I stared at him, a few people in a rush bumping into me again as his lips formed into a small smirk.
I frowned more, looking down to find my phone. "It's okay." I mumbled, my eyes still down, this time not caring where my phone was, just so I could avoid his eyes.
"Damn, Damian, c'mon." A boy behind him spoke, and I raised my head to see who it was. He made eye contact with me, staring at me up and down. "Well, hello." He smirked, just like Damian.
I swallowed hard, feeling my ears getting warmer as I bit my lip. Should I just ignore them? "Hi." I licked my lips.
"Quinn? What are you doing?" I heard Elizabeth's squeaky voice as I spun around to see Larissa next to her, their eyes stuck on the boys.
I looked down, getting closer to Larissa and tugging onto her black crop top, trying to tell her we should go, but she started talking to Damien's friend.
"Jonas?"
My eyes raised to the second boy, his smirk getting wider, making his green eyes a tiny bit smaller.
I decided I didn't want to stick around, like Damian who also decided to walk away, to listen their awkward conversation about how they were friends when they were seven, so I decided to look for my phone.
I bit my lip, bending down a little to see if someone kicked it underneath an advertisement panel, but there wasn't anything under that than dirt.
"Nice ass," I heard a familiar deep voice say, making my eyes widen as I spun around, my lips parted.
And there he was, a huge smirk plastered on his lips as he held my phone, the clean black previous screen gone, replaced by a full cracked one.
I looked at him, then at my phone, grasping it from his rough hands. My eyes trailed up from his white CalvinKlein t-shirt to his quite thick neck, raising my stare to his eyes. "Thank you." I mumbled, then forced a small smile.
