Chapter Seven

Y/D/N POV

I didn't know how to feel about what my daughters boyfriend had just said. I was still in shock when I said "Don't you think that y'all are a little too young to be getting married?!" On the other hand, I really do think that he is the one for her. I am willing to give Ethan my oldest daughter.

Ethan's POV
Of course he thinks that we are too young. But I love Sophie more than anything in the universe. I rubbed the sweat from my hands onto my pants. "Don't sweat it. When the time is ready, I want you to marry her. I trust you Ethan." Y/D/N said. Those were the best words I've ever heard.
My happiness was short lived though. "Ethan?" I turned my head to my name was being called. It was y/d/n. "Even though I am Sophie's father, you should really be asking Jackson. Yes, I will protect her at any cost, but Jackson would do the same. Maybe even more." He said
Of course I'm going to have to ask Jackson. I thought. He freaking hates me with everything in him. He's never gonna say yes. Y/D/N and I walked into the restaurant and joined the others. "What took so long you two?" Sophie asked. "I just had to ask your dad something." I told her.
I sat beside her and held her hand. Jackson was on the other side of her. He gave me a look. One that honestly kinda scared me. "Hey Ethan, can you come with me. I have to ask you something." He said, more like demanded. I followed him outside, not knowing what to expect.

Jackson: "I know you've been with my little sister for a while now."

Ethan: "Yeah. And I love her. More than anything in the world"

Jackson: "Well I love her too. And if you ever hurt her-

Ethan: "I know. I know. I'm dead. But I never will because I love her way to much."

Jackson: "Oh wow dude. That really meant a lot."
He turned to walk inside.

Ethan: "Hey Jackson, wait! Th- there's s-something I n-need to ask you."
*he turned around*

Jackson: "What is it?"

Ethan: "Can I-I-i m-marry S-Sophie?"
The look on his face made me feel as if I had just killed a puppy. He looked mad and terrified and... offended. His face got redder.

Ethan: "Please say something dude. I felt like I had to ask you."

Jackson: "Ethan, I know you really love my sister. And she loves you too. And as hard as it is to say this, I want you to marry her. It makes me so happy to see her so excited over you."

I felt tears roll down my face. I was so happy. I thought that I would never get his approval. I couldn't help myself. I have Jackson the biggest hug, that I've ever given a guy. I wiped my happy tears and walked back into the restaurant. When I sat beside Sophie, I squeezed her hand a little. She looked at me and smiled. That was my favorite smile in the whole world. And I thanked his that I got to be with her for the rest of my life.
