I knew it was coming. I knew that he was going to say it. But I just don't want him to go away again. I just can't except the fact that in the next three weeks, I could see him for the last time. "B- but you just got b-back?" I said trying to hold back my tears. I'd been through enough shit in the past month. Now my brother is getting deployed again. The only good thing that's happened, is that Ethan proposed to me. But, that led to me getting pregnant. But.  I'm beyond excited and blessed to have these babies. Everyone went on talking. But me, I didn't say a single word until we got home.
Ethan and I laid in my bed looking at furniture for the new house. My birthday wasn't for three more months, but I wanted it to be ready to move in ready by then. We were looking at stuff for the nursery when he pointed at a set of cribs that were gorgeous. "What about those for our angels." He said. I smiled and added them to the cart. I shut my laptop because it was getting kinda late. As I was putting it on the floor to charge, I saw the ultrasound pictures sticking out of my purse. I pulled them out and sat back up.
Ethan rubbed his thumb on them. I grabbed his hand and kissed it. He laid down and lifted my shirt up. He began talking as he he laid his head on my bare stomach. He began to speak: "Hey sweet angels. I'm your dad. Your mom and I have never been more excited and right now, you two are our only source of happiness. I love you both more than words can say" He kissed my stomach twice. "One for each baby," He said. Then he kissed me. "I love you." I said. "I love you more." He responded. He held me close to him and like that, we fell asleep.

Ethan's POV

I don't know what I did to deserve all of this. I have the most perfect girl. Who's having the most perfect babies. And one day soon, we were going to get married and have the most perfect wedding. Sophie was the glue that was holding me together. I would honestly be completely lost without her.
As I held her in my arms, she seemed so peaceful and so happy. But I knew that on the inside, she was hurting, a lot. So much has happened to her in just the past month. Now, her brother is getting deployed again. Right when she needs him the most. But he can't help it. Hopefully he'll be back soon enough. I put the thought aside and went to sleep.
I just woke up and see my sweet girl still in my arms. I rolled overnight and laid on my back. She came with me since her arms were wrapped around my waist. Then she laid her head on my chest. I heard Sophie's door open. As I looked up to see who it was, I see Addie. "Sissy?" She asked. I didn't want to wake Sophie up. "What is it sweetie, sissy is still sleeping?" Addie walked around to my side of the bed. "I sad 'cause bubba leaving again." She she.
I picked her up and put her on the bed. I looked at her and see that her eyes are a little glossy. "Shh sweetie, don't cry." I say rubbing her back. Then I feel Sophie start to wake up. Her eyes slowly opened. "Come here Addie." She said. She laid down beside Sophie. It was like she'd been listening the whole time and automatically knew what to do.

Sophie's POV

I'd been awake for a few minutes when I heard my door open. It was Addie. Ethan slipped his arms from around me and helped her on the bed. "Sissy?" She called. I acted like I was sleeping because I like to see how he handles certain situations. "What is it sweetie? Sissy is still sleeping." I heard him say. I loved that he didn't just hand this off to me. He was so perfect. "I sad 'cause bubba leaving again." She said. I felt so bad for her. I felt that now was the time to intervene. I acted as if I was just waking up. Addie already had small tears rolling down her face.
I held her in between Ethan and I. She was taking this just about as hard as I was. She needed her big sister right now, so I'm going to have to put my problems aside and make sure she's happy. "Hey Addie, how about me, you and Ethan spend the whole day together?" She looked up as I rubbed her back. "Wreally?!" She asked. "Yeah. We can go to the park! And get some hot chocolate! Would you like that?" I said. She nodded her head.
