Chapter Ten

Sophie's POV

We just got to the lodge where we are staying. Neither of our parents have gotten here yet, but I can tell that something is bothering Ethan. He leg fidgeted rapidly, his fingers tapped the steering wheel. I put my high on his thigh to stop it. He looked over to me. "What's wrong E?" I asked. "Uh- uh, nothing. Just, you'll see." He replied. He wiped his hands on his pants before he went right back to tapping.
After a while, my parents pulled into a parking lot. Ethan's parents and Grayson not far behind them. They got out of the car and knocked on my window. I rolled it down to see my mom standing there smiling. "How was the ride?" She said. "Pretty good."
We talked for a little while longer. "We're going to meet in the lobby at around 7:15 for dinner. We are going out. Be dressed nicely." She told us finally and then walked to the back of her car and started to unload it. I nodded, got out of the car and then did the same as she did; went to the back of the car to start unloading my shit ton of stuff.
By the time we were done settling in, it's was almost three. (Just so you know, the room "assignments" are

I laid across our big bed. Ethan then plopped down beside me. I turned towards him and he pulled me close to him. Soon I felt myself drift off to sleep in the safety of his strong arms. After what felt like only two minutes, I felt him kiss my forehead, trying to gently wake me up. "Soph, it's almost five, you need to start getting ready." He said. As my eyes slowly opened, I saw that I was still in his arms. I nodded and sat up slowly.
I rubbed my eyes as I climbed out of the bed. As I stumbled into the bathroom, to find that my makeup bag wasn't where I had left it. "Hey E, did you move my makeup?" I yelled out of the door. "What? Oh yeah, I hid it because you don't need it, you are gorgeous." I popped my head out of the bathroom door, to see him smirking at me. "Come on give it back." I whined. "Okay" "But but first I want a kiss." He said. I ran over to him and planted a big fat kiss on his lips. I felt him smile against my lips. I pulled away and smiled up at him. "It's in my suitcase, gorgeous." He said. I ran over and grabbed it, then ran back into the bathroom.
As my music played, I heard Ethan in the bedroom singing along to it. I picked up my phone and began to record it without him knowing. Looks like I have a new ringtone. After my makeup was done, I began to get dressed. I put on a pretty white lace dress, white heels and I let my hair fall down ➡️. Ethan had on a suit and as I walked out of the bathroom, his jaw dropped.

Ethan's POV

She was stunning. I looked up to see her after I finished tying my bow tie. And man, she was beautiful. About fifteen minutes earlier, I'd looked through my bad and grabbed the box. This box could change my life forever. I opened it to admire the rind I'd chosen ➡️. I closed the small box and put it into the pocket inside of jacket. Then I looked up at her. She walked over and grabbed my hand. She was nearly as tall as me in the heels she had on. "You ready?" I asked. She nodded. I guess that I was as ready as I'll ever be for tonight.

We walked downstairs and it was 7:05. We sat in chairs and waited for everyone else to come down. She never let go of my hand the entire time we sat there. "Y'all ready?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to see Grayson, dressed in a nice suit as well. "You look good man" I told him. "Thanks, E." He said.
Soon, Addie ran up to us. "Ethan!" She yelled. She ran into me and wrapped her arms around my leg, since she was too small to reach my waist. I pat her back and picked her up. "I wanna ride with you and sissy." She said, so I carried her over to Sophie. "She wants to ride with us." I told her. "That fine. It's just gonna be a little packed because Cam and Gray are riding with us also." I nodded and headed outside.
We piled into my Jeep. Sophie and I in the front. Addie in the middle of the backseat, with Grayson and Cameron on either side of her. We followed our parents, who were all in the same car, to the restaurant. We were there in like ten minutes. As we walked in, there was a table reserved for us. But there was already someone sitting there. At first, I couldn't tell who is was until Sophie ran and gave him a hug. It was, you guessed it, Jackson. Great. It's already nerve-racking enough that I have to do this in front of our parents. And now Jackson. Sophie ran and gave him a hug.
Once we sat down, I was beside Sophie and he was across from her. We talked for about an hour, until our food came out. We had started to eat and I realized that there wasn't going to be a perfect time to do this. So, I stood up and got everyone's attention. "What're you doing, E?" She asked. I looked into her beautiful blue eyes and got down onto my knee. Her hands covered her mouth and she began to cry.
