Chapter Eighteen

     "Sophie, are you pregnant?" I asked. Both Ethan and Sophie's eyes grew huge. They exchanged looks. "Why d- do you a-ask?" Sophie struggled to get out. " I heard Ethan say that he was happy to be having a baby with you..." I said while playing with my fingers. I looked up as a tear trickled down Sophie's face as she nodded. Ethan held her close. "It's hit her hard." Ethan mouthed to me. I nodded and went over to hug her. "I know I've been an ass to you in the past, but if you ever need anything, I'll be here for you." I told her. She smiled slightly. "Th- thanks Gray." She said. I walked out of the room still dazed at the idea that Ethan's gonna be a dad. I shook it off and went back to my room.

Sophie's POV

     After Grayson left, I began to process what had just happened. We'd actually told someone. Then I heard the front door open. That meant that my parents are here. I tightened up, making my hands into fists. "Calm down babe, it's gonna be okay." Ethan said while rubbing my arms. I got out of the bed and began to walk towards the door. Ethan followed me. He grabbed my hand as we walked downstairs.
     I walked into the kitchen and see my whole family sitting at the table. "Sissy!" Addie shouted as she ran over to me. She gave me hug and then she gave Ethan one. He picked her up and spun her around as she giggled. She buried her face in his neck as we walked over to the table. We sat down and began to eat. We talked about nothing specific.
     Lisa made amazing food, like always. But I didn't eat a lot today. "Is something wrong sweetheart?" My mom asked. I shook my head. "She got sick again last night." Lisa said. "You're still not feeling any better?" She asked me. "No ma'am." I responded quietly. "Do we need to make you a doctors appointment?" She asked sounding concerned. "I have one on the twenty- seventh." I told her. "Well that's good!" She said, a little more relieved. I went back to eating silently.
     Everyone is now at my house and right as we started to hand out presents, I ran upstairs remembering something. I walked into my bathroom and looked on the counter. It was still there, thank god. The other test from yesterday. I put the cap on it and wrapped it in a small gift bag. I put the wrapped gift on my bed carefully. Ethan walked into my room to see what I was doing. "It'll be easier to just tell them like this." I told him and he nodded. He kissed my head and we walked back downstairs. "What was that about?" My dad asked. "I just forgot about a gift that I hadn't wrapped yet." I said, kinda lying. But I was also telling the truth. He nodded and we sat down on the couch.
     Addie got so many dolls. They were all different, but there were tons of them. I got Ethan a new camera. One that was just for him to play around with. "Aww thanks babe." He said. I pecked his lips. Ethan got Grayson a new watch, I got Jackson a sneer chain necklace, since he lost his other one in the ocean about two years ago. He got me copy of his dog tag, with a simple heart charm over the top of it. I put my hands over my mouth because I loved it so much. I put it on immediately. (There were a lot of other gifts too, but I don't feel like explaining all of them.)
     "Hey Addie, Ethan and I got you one more present. You wanna go see it?" I asked her. I big smile spread across her face as she screamed "YES!"  All of us walked up to my room, I carried Addie and Ethan made sure that her eyes were closed. My mom opened the door and they all flooded in. I put her down and pointed to the corner of my room. "It's right over there." I said. She ran over and pulled the blanket off. "Oh my gosh!" She said jumping up and down. "Thank you sissy!" She said. "You better be thanking Ethan too." I told her. She ran over and gave him a hug. "Thank you Etee!" "You're welcome sweetie." He responded.
     Then they saw it. "What is that on your bed Sophie?" My mom asked. I held my breath, walked over and held it in my hands. "This is for all of you." I started. "I can't say anything else right now, without giving anything away, but here..."
