Ethan's POV

I walked into Addie's room to see her sleeping in Sophie's lap. She looked up and smiled at me. I went and picked Addison up and tucked her securely into her bed. Sophie came beside me and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
I grabbed my girlfriend's hand and we walked down the stairs to be greeted by her mother. "Oh hey Ethan, I didn't know you were over last night." Y/M/N said. All I could say was "yes ma'am".

Sophie's POV
"We're going shopping mom." I told my mother mom. "Ok dear. Y'all can just meet us at the restaurant." I'm assuming I looked confused. "Remember, we are having dinner tonight." She added. Crap. I completely forgot about that. "Ethan, your family will be there too. We have something we want to discuss with you". My mom said.
We left the house still a little dazed. I wonder what my mom wants to talk about. Is it important? Is it about our relationship? A lot if questions. "Don't worry about it babe" Ethan said. His voice said, reassuring me. We got in his Jeep and drove off.

Ethan's POV

As I pulled out of her driveway, she still looked dazed. "I told you not to worry about it" I said. I grabbed her hand and held it until we finished driving.
I slowed my driving and pulled to the side of the road. To most people, this spot would just look like a big tree in the middle of a field. But to us, it meant everything. It was where I kissed Sophie for the first time. It's where I asked her to be my girlfriend. It's where she told me that she loved me.
I got out and ran over to the passenger door to open it and get Sophie out. We went and sat under our tree and talked. We talked for hours. We talked about what this school year is going to be like. We talked about what we would name our kids one day. "I've always wanted a Sadie" I said. Sophie gasped. "It's just gorgeous." She said. She loved it. And I loved it. But not as much as we loved each other.
I didn't realize how long we had been sitting there until I went to check my phone after it buzzed. Grayson had texted me.

Gray: Dude, where are you? Mom is freaking out.

Gray: Ethan. You're dead if you don't get here soon.

Ethan: Oh crap dude, we didn't realize how long we'd been out. I'm otw now.
End of texts
"Come on Sophie, we lost track of time." I said with panic in my voice. She checked her phone and shot up. "Holy crap. My dad's gonna kill us". She ran to the Jeep and I followed right behind her.
We made it to the restaurant in about 10 minutes. My mind raced with all of the things that Sophie's father had waiting to throw at me. As we walked in, to join our families, I saw the look of disappointment on everyone's face.
"I'm really sorry everyone, we lost track of time". I said. "Well at least you decided to finally show up". She said. We could tell she was beyond mad though.

Lisa's POV

As my son and his girlfriend finally decided to join the rest of us for dinner, I realized how mad my facial expression must've looked. "I'm really sorry everyone, we lost track of time" Ethan said.
My son and maybe-future-daughter-in-law, sat next to each other across from Sean and I. "We have something to discuss with all of you" Sean said, breaking the awkward silence. "This includes Grayson and Cameron too" I added. They turned their heads, concerned. "We are planning a trip to go to the mountains during the month of December. You will have to miss some school though." Y/M/N said. All of their mouths dropped open. They were definitely excited.
