I handed the gift to my mom. Everyone gathered around her as she opened it slowly. After what felt like forever, she reached into the bag and pulled out the test. She dropped the bag and put her hand over her mouth. I started to cry. So my my mom, Lisa and my dad. I'd never seen my dad cry before. "I'm so sorry..." I said knowing that I'd let them down. I said it over and over again. Then I couldn't take it anymore and I ran downstairs to get away from them. I curled up in a ball on the couch and cried. I felt a big hand on my back and looked up. It was my dad. "I'm so sorry daddy." I said, making me cry harder. He held me close. "Shhh, we're gonna get through this sweetie. I trust you." He said. I looked up and smiled. "No matter what, you'll always be my daughter." He said, hugging me. "Thank you." I said quietly. I got up and walked back up to my room to see Lisa, Ethan and my mom talking on my bed. Ethan's eyes were red. I walked over sat by him, closer to my mom. She wrapped her arms around me. "Look sweetheart, we're going to get through this. We'll support you in whatever you both choose." She said. I nodded my head and hugged her tightly. We all walked downstairs to see my dad and Sean sitting at the island in the kitchen. "Come here Ethan." My dad said. He walked over hesitantly. "Listen, I know that the timing is off, but I trust you. And I know that you won't leave her, because you're a good man." He said patting Ethan on the back. Then my dad turned to me. "My sweet Sophie. I was gonna wait until your birthday to give you this..." he reached into his pocket and pulled out a key. "I know that you work your ass off. And since you bought your own car, your mother and I bought you this." He gave me the key and told me to follow him. Ethan and I got in my car and followed him. We drive for about five minutes and pulled into the driveway of a small house. (House tour in upcoming chapters.) Ethan and I got out of the car and walked up to the door. I put the key in and turned the knob. We walked into a huge living room that flowed into the kitchen. There was a hallway branching off of the living room. In the hallway, there were four doors. One led to a small office. One led to a slightly bigger bedroom. One led to a bathroom and the last door at the end of the hall led to our master bedroom. We walked through the bedroom. It was pretty large. It had a walk-in closet and master bathroom with a huge tub. "I love it so much." I said. "Me too." Ethan said as he kissed my lips. We walked out and locked the door back. I skipped over to my dads car and knocked on his window. "I love it dad! Thank you so much!" I said. "You're welcome sweetheart." He said in return. I walked over to my car and got in. We drove back to my house and went up to my room. I see Addie playing with her new dollhouse and dolls on my floor. "Can I play with you?" I asked as I sat down next to her. "Yeah!" She said. We played for about an hour. It's was now 7:30. "Come on Addie, let's go take a bath." I said. She nodded and I carried her to my bathroom. I began to run the water and made it so it wasn't to hot or cold. First, we walked back into my room and I laid my pajamas out on my bed.➡️ Then we went and got a pair of pajamas for Addie and brought them in the bathroom. I took off her clothes and then took off mine. We got in the shower and Addie sang to the music I played. When I was washing her body off, she asked me if she could sleep with Ethan and I tonight. I nodded.

When we were done, I got Addie dressed and braided her hair quickly. I carried her into my room and laid her in the bed next to Ethan. "I spend the night!" She said. "Okay, did sissy say it was okay?" He asked. She nodded. I got dressed quickly and ran to Addie's room. I grabbed her pillow, blankie and favorite stuffed animal I carried it into my room and gave it to her. We put on a Disney movie and laid down. Within twenty minutes, Addie was passed out. She looked so sweet. Soon we were all asleep. Today was just a really long day.
