Eka sat up. He was sweating badly. His parents and Evan were at uncle's party for the brothers in law. He had wanted to go. He looked at the letter he kept on his bedside.

Eka looked at his King's writing. He could feel it. His King was in danger. He had been in danger in the past and he always had his dad or brother to send after him. If he was in danger when all of them were present, it only meant one thing.

Eka got up from the bed. He can't let his man die. He ran out and his wolf rushed through the woods and past the boundaries into the palace. He could feel it, the hold of his King, barely there.

He had been scared of going back. What if he got hurt again? King had been his world! Then, suddenly, he just stopped being Eka's. Eka never got an explanation, a closure, nothing. The King had been apologising for years. He couldn't bring himself to trust him again. He was not sure how the man would protect his heart when he had shattered it into a million pieces once. What if he chose someone to be on the side. Eka did not want to be a liability or a second option.

Finding out that the King is his Alpha was a shock. He always knew he cared for the man in an unusual way. But to find out that he is the mate after being torn into half and thrown away like trash for other Alphas to bully, to molest and to taunt, Eka had been shocked and cynical of the goddesses choice for him.

But he slowly forgave his King. The man confessed all his thoughts and actions in each of their letters.Yet, Eka couldn't make himself believe that it was all real and that those two years of his life had just been a nightmare.

He hated his King for so long, resented him too. Kannu was supposed to be his. Just his. Eka's. He was Eka's everything from the moment they met at Myrkovir back when they were four.

Eka reached the palace door. He had left here long ago and now here he was. He is the Luna of the royal pack and he will have to claim it. He ran in and into the healer's room. He saw his Alpha laid out in the healing bed. The man has grown. The boy has grown would be the right usage. They were both boys and now his King looked out of the world. He exuded power even when asleep.

Eka felt an arm around him stopping him. It was uncle Iker. He was crying. Was he angry at Eka and did not want him to see his King. Eka tried to comprehend what was happening when he felt Uncle Avadh hugging him. They were both holding him, as if protecting him from something terrible.

"Let me get to King," said Eka.

"There is nothing you can do now son," said Avadh.

"He is gone," sobbed Iker.

Eka tried to comprehend what they were saying. Were they saying that King left. That King left without Eka? He wouldn't. He could still fell his King, the tug.

But he could also see, even when a layer of tears made his vision glassy that the King was not moving.

"He is not. I can feel it. He won't, not without me," said Eka.

"Prince Eka is right, your highness. The King is in a comatose state. But, he will pass soon," said the Healer.

Eka rushed to his King's side. Eka had been punishing him. He was hurting him. He wanted King to have a taste of being ignored and kept at bay like a stranger and then the routine set in and he was too scared to change it. To welcome his King back of to walk back into his life.

Eka saw the blue marks and slowly ran his hand through them. They vanished slowly. He moved the hair our of his face and just looked at him.

He knew what he has to do now. Eka turned to Ethan who came running.

"Offer me to him," said Eka looking at his dad.

Ethan looked at him just to check if he was sure. Otherwise they still could come up with something to save Kanwar.

Ethan wanted to save both his kids. His son and his nephew and he knew this would be the right thing to do. He got Eka's arm and went over to where Kanwar was. Ethan's hand shivered a bit as he took his nephew's arm whom he considered nothing less than a son.

"I Ethan De Russe is hereby offering my oldest son Ekansh De Russe to Kanwar De Russe Alwar, the King of Manowar. May your soul, heart and mind be one today always and in eternity," said Ethan joining their hands and there was a light and then Eka slumped forward and Ethan caught him and took him in his arms and laid him next to his -

Ethan looked at Kanwar. Sure enough, Kanwar's soul was responding. He saw the lights merge and then he heard the wolves howl in and around the land and the woods. He saw Avadh and Iker hugging each other tightly. He saw the whole family cry in relief. He turned back and looked at his son in law and then up at Atrey who stood by his side.

Eka was next to his now husband and the power surrounding them reached out and entwined, blessing them and the union. The last step would be complete only when a conscious Kanwar finished the ritual, but now, they are indeed joined in holy matrimony which appeased the powers pulling away the life from Kanwar.

Eka curled into the King whose hand wound around his omega mate and husband.
