Once she washed the rose off, Ri got rid of the "X" that was the cause of her newfound pain.
The week passed quickly, but her sleeping schedule got worse. Bags slowly formed under her eyes. It was barely noticeable, but they were definitely there.
It was now the beginning of December, and neither Erin nor Ri had spoken to her.
Sierra slowly shuffled toward her table. She saw Erin talking to Safiya and their eyes met for a moment before Erin looked away.
Hurt filled Sierra for a moment, but she kept walking toward the table.
Safiya turned toward her, a smile spread across her face, "Erra!" She turned back to Erin, "Why don't you invite Sierra to join us?"
"Join you... where?" Sierra asked in a soft voice.
