It was time to take some risks.

After failing to convince Maggie that she was not, in fact, a little troll, her mind had wandered. Now Erin and Zach were all she could think about. She had come up with one major theory.

Erin had had lunch with the girls the first day to spend some time with them, but then she wanted to spend time with Zach. Sierra had technically asked her if she didn't want to spend time with her soulmate, to which the answer was no, but she didn't want to explain that they were soulmates. So that was why Erin had been mad at her, but then Zach talked with her... so now she wasn't mad at Sierra.

She was now almost a hundred percent positive this was the case, which lead her to her current situation. She leaned over and whispered to Ryan, "Hey, uh, are Erin and Zach soulmates?"

He whipped around immediately. "W-What gave you that idea?! Of course they aren't soulmates!"

"Your reaction makes me think you're lying."

He took in a deep breath. "Look, I don't know where that idea came from, but they aren't soulmates. They're just really close is all. They've known each other the longest."

"Oh. Okay." Not what she was expecting, but it made just as much sense as her theory. She turned to look in front of her at Zach. He was watching Reese intently. Who was his soulmate? Maybe it was Reese, but no... Reese could be Ri! Perhaps she was Ri, and she became unsure once she met Sierra. Could that be it?

Probability said no, but hope said yes, a hundred percent, that's her!

She took out a pen as she rolled up her pants leg and started doodling on her thigh. Reese didn't stop mumbling. Nothing happened. Perhaps she was just ignoring it because she is one of those people who takes soulmate matters more personally? Yes, that had to be it. She didn't know any other Ris so this had to be her, right?

Maybe not, but she hoped it was her. She's nice and sweet and smart and funny and cool and- Sierra shook herself out of her thoughts. Maybe she should ask Reese later, but she had other questions to ask right now.

She leaned over and tapped Zach on the shoulder.

"Yeah?" He turned his head to face her.

"Uh, what's your relationship with Erin?"

He smiled. "Oh. Well, we've known each other since before we could talk, so we've always been close, I guess."

"That makes sense," Sierra nodded.

He turned his head to the side and watched her with curious eyes. "Did you not expect it to?"

"N-No. I was just wondering because you guys seem really close."

"Oh, okay!" He lit up like a Christmas tree, a bright smile on his face. Zach turned back to the front and leaned against the window.

Sierra felt her eyebrows scrunch together in confusion. She had never expected facial expressions that pure to be found on Bad Boy™ Zach's face. Maybe he was a softie on the inside, despite his slightly intimidating attitude.

This trip was giving her a lot more questions than answers.
