"Hello?"
"Hello?"
I wander the empty halls asking for a human response.
The walls start to curl backwards until they disappear. almost like a snake eating its self. the floor boards disappear and so dose my balance.
I'm sent plummeting towards a bottomless pit.
my screams where suddenly interrupted by me hitting the ground and instantly entering a gate.
No.
The gate.
Finding my self in the very white room that gave me a chill down my neck, I spin around in a creaking slow motion.
My abnormal thinking made me remember a leg of mine was missing, so there for at the last second both my legs disintegrated and crumbled like a cookie.
I fell down on my ass and started trying at my best to get away from the scary pooling, dripping mess called my own two appendages at one point.
My hands padded and pedaled the now warm red floor in an extreme attempt to go home; to the place that was already decaying.. but I still wanted to go some where other than here.
Just then, in mid thought, my hand slipped and my head almost cracked open on impact to the large gate behind me.
My weight slid down the alchemy engraved door as my head plopped down to the floor in a hard way.
My body wanted to shrivel as my stumps tensed; hoping that the distinctly hot white pain would stop.
I laid there as I listened to the loud high pitched noise that rang in my ears.
I heard my heart beat quicken and my soft breath slowly fade.
I curled up into a ball and waited for death to take me as I let go of consciousness and hope.
I wake up panting.
I snap my head to the left to find the girl called winry holding a tray of food.
She handed it to me and asked if there was something wrong.
"I'm okay. there's nothing wrong" I said surprisingly with a straight face.
She laughed manically "your lying"
"How do you know?" I say rudely
She let out a huff, softened and said "I can see it in your eyes"
"Why do people say that" I could say i'm slightly disgusted. but really I'm just confused and curious.
"It's just there, the way you look people in the eyes."
"How do I look people in the eyes?" I ask
"When you lie.. you look completely truthful, but in a sad way, almost as if your sad that your lying."
"Yeah I guess"
"Now tell me what's on your mind."
No.
"Fine" I gave up in slight silence.
"Why are your acting like your my mother though?" I ask as I mentally smirk hoping that he gets angry.
She crosses her arms "I'm older" the way It fell out of her lips made me gag.
"Now what about your.." she awaited me to finish her sentence.
"Dreams? oh yeah." I regret my words.
I told her about what I saw, what I did, and what happened. Obviously she wouldn't know of the gate.
"Oh.. What a surreal dream. Must have had something to do with your accident."
"Yeah.. My car accident" I said trying to sound truthful, making sure to avoid eye contact.
"So what happened? I like I mean with your mom and your sister." Being able to tell she was going to say 'what about your father' really pissed me off for no reason. Thankfully she stopped herself.
"What's to know." I huffed.
"Everything. "
"My mom was waiting in the house during a storm while me my dad and my sister where coming home. about half way there we crashed do to the flooded roads. My sisters body was extremely injured so I bonded her soul to a doll that was in the car at the time. I lost my leg and arm and my dad died. my mother rushed out to find us and took us here." It came out so smoothly. it scared me.
Lies are like a train with no tracks ahead but some behind.
Just keep stealing and using them over and over.
