We walked up the stairs and it felt like forever!

Rory was silent the whole time. it made me feel like she was mad at me, but I knew that wasn't true.

I waited for her at the top of the stairs I herd a creaking I ran down three steps and grabbed her hand pulling her away from the four steps that collapsed.

She was heavy but I put up a brave face. I lifted her up and we returned smiles.

"Thanks."

"Your welcome"

"Let's go get our stuff then we will go" she said

"Go where?"

"I don't know but I'm sure we'll be fine" she cooed as she gave me a soft warm smile almost a sad one.

"I trust you" I said with a smile

"I trust you too"

We went to the kitchen and into the ice box; the ice was almost fully melted but we still grabbed the the ice.

We put the ice and water in a bottle and and took it with us we grabbed a bag and put almost all the food we had in it.

We both went up to our room with caution it wasnt storming as bad but it was still raining.

I grabbed a bag and filled it with clothes and rory did the same. we took some personal belongings in one bag together.

We went down stairs and out side and we grabbed an umbrella I held the food and my bag and she held our personal belonging and her backpack and the umbrella.

We walked and walked untill,

"Hey, we should go to our hide out! its close to town and we have a small amount of money and beds and its sorta isolated!" she said cheerily

"Ok" I replied

"Lets go" she said as she started running I followed suit

We were panting by the time we reached the front door. we exchange glances and look to the door.

I get up from having my hands on my knees and open the door.

I breathed in the air that smelled like wood.

I smiled at that

We sat down and I started to read a book and it felt like hours and hours past by because before i knew it it was dark out side.

It's felt as if that's what we did every day... spite the slight variations.

Over time we ran out of money to buy food, that took a while cause we only ate two small loaves of bread a day.

Rory seemed sad all the Time and said that I needed the food more so she soon became skinnier thank me over time. Of coarse I gained lost some weight but I was still fatter than her.

Looking down to my chubby hands I reminisce about the good old days and when mom was still alive, and when our house was still intact.

Over time rory and I decided to make a small job were we go up to the train station and sold our trinkets that we made with alchemy. I guess it was ok, we made a good amount of money..

Cause I mean who don't like to buy alchemical trinkets made by two small children that looked homeless?

We called this shack like cabin our home cause it really felt like home. We made our own modifications such as: we closed off some of the spaces, and we made new rooms and an upper loft.

Way back when.. we kinda took all the alchemy books from our library at our house and we rented some books from the library in our moms name and we took all the books to this shack of ours.

So we now rent new books that we haven't read from a new library in town that gets their books imported from central by customer request.

We've learn a lot from those books, heck we even read the fiction books we got so bored.

This was our new way of life

Boring

Sad

And meaningless
