Chapter 17

Wedding Reception and Baby Announcement
No Ones POV

Becky and Matt walked out of the nave and walked outside back behind the church to where the gazebo and garden was where they were going to take their pictures. Everyone that was in their wedding followed behind them as did their family and friends who wanted to take pictures of the wedding party and bride and groom. Sarah and Mark carried out the camera equipment and got it set up in front of the white gazebo that was covered with green and blue flowers.
"Okay Becky Matt you guys stand in the gazebo first" said Sarah. She got the camera ready and Mark got ready to take the photos. Becky and Matt took their pictures their arms wrapped around each other. Then Mark took a picture of Becky and Matt with their bridesmaids and groomsmen in front of the gazebo. Next we're the pictures of the bride and groom with their parents.
"Man I'm glad that's over" Matt said when the pictures were finally done. Everyone had started to go back inside the church when the pictures were done.
"We still have dinner and dancing hon" Becky told him
"Dinner and dancing I don't mind. Well maybe the dancing because I'm not best at that and I don't do it usually" he answered
Becky grinned. "Me neither"
Matt's stomach chose at that moment to grumble. "I guess my stomach agrees with the dinner part" Matt chuckled
Becky giggles. "Let's go back inside then"
She took his hand and they walked back inside the church after everyone already walked inside. They waited out in the hall. Their parents and guests were already in the cafeteria waiting for them to be announced. Sarah had already went inside the cafeteria with her camera stuff to take pictures for when they came in. Megan and Clayton waited outside of the closed doors.
"Are you two ready to be formally announced?" Megan asked them
"Yes" Matt and Becky said. Matt's stomach grumbled again.
"I guess Matt here aches for that yummy food that's in there" Clayton said chuckling a little.
"That's not all Im aching for" Matt answered pulling Becky into a kiss.
"That's better" he said grinning
"It's probably been five minutes since the last time you kissed her" said Clayton
"That's five minutes too long" Matt responded
Becky and Megan giggled. Clayton rolled his eyes.
"Like you don't feel the same way about Megs" said Matt
"You've got me there. In fact I think I'll follow your lead" Clayton said pulling Megan close and kissing her. Megan smiled at her husband of three years.
"Well I guess we should all go in" Megan said. Clayton, Matt and Becky nodded.
Megan and Clayton opened the doors revealing a long table that was now in front of the cafeteria hall. Smaller round tables spread out in front of it and outside the door underneath the blue and green canopy's that were outside on the lawn.The long table was covered with a white tablecloth while the round tables alternated between blue and green tablecloths. The chairs alternated between green and blue chair covers as well. A dance floor and Michaels music was set up on the right side and on the left side of the tables were the food tables.
Michael who had a microphone that was connected to his speakers and music system that he got for the wedding stood the closet to the long table.
"For the first time in public please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Matthew and Rebecca Roach" Michael announced with a huge smile on his face. He was so happy for his cousin Becky. He loved her and he really liked Matt too.
Everyone applauded as Matt and Becky walked in. They had asked Michael earlier to not use Matt's full name and include Becky's.
Everyone else sat at the round tables while the wedding party sat down at the long table. Matt held out his brides chair as she sat down and then he sat down next to her. Sarah, Willow, Megan, Hannah, Erin and Bethany sat next to Becky. Mark, Clayton, Jordan, Norm and Adam sat on the other side of Matt. Becky and Matt's parents along with the kids, Cayden Isabella and Olivia, with their grandparents sat at the table nearest to them.
Becky turned to Sarah. "Can you believe it I'm Becky Roach now!" She squealed happily.
Sarah and Megan smiled. "I know sis you use to dream of this day and now look you guys are married" said Megan
"the wedding turned out beautiful by the way" Said Sarah. "I just loved your guys vows to each other. I was crying"
"So was I" Said Megan
"I think everyone was crying after those vows were said" said Hannah.
"You were crying Hannah at our vows?" Matt asked his sister.
Hannah nodded. "I had a few tears in my eyes" she admitted. "But I wasnt full blown out crying like this one here" Hannah pointed to Megan. Megan blushed. Becky smiled and reached across the table and squeezes her older sisters hand.
"Awe Megan" She said
"What I can't help it I'm a big baby. And Becky you were crying at Matt's vows" said Megan
"Well of course they were beautiful and amazing and sweet and I just loved it" Said Becky blushing and grinning. Matt kissed her blushing cheek.
"Okay guys we will start with the wedding party first getting their food, then the parents and grandparents and kids, then the closet family and friends near them and so on" Said Michael into the microphone. "So Matt Becky go up and get your food with your party"
They nodded and stood up and went to get their food. There was more food on the table Becky noticed as she got her and Willow their plates of food. Someone had brought in a big bowl of spaghetti with bread rolls, someone brought in a big thing of salad with dressings, someone made meatloaf and mashed potatoes, there was even a big bowl of jello and brownies now on the food table along with the other food that was already brought in earlier that morning.
Becky made her and Willow each a plate of food and Matt made his. Then they walked back over to their table and sat down. Becky gave willow her plate of food napkin and drink before she sat down next to Matt. When everyone had their plates of food and drinks they all began to eat the delicious food.
After a few bites Becky felt Matt's right hand pick up her left. He brought it to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on the back of her hand. Becky grinned at him. She noticed that he had some crumbs around his lips and instead of using a napkin decided to kiss them away. He sweetly kissed her back.
After dinner was done it was time for the speeches. "It is now time for the speeches" said Michael coming over and handing Matt one of the microphones. Matt stood up after taking the microphone from Michael.
"I'd like to thank all of you for sharing this joyous wonderful day with us. We love you all" said Matt. He then turned to his glowing bride beside him.
"And to my beautiful glowing new bride I can't thank you enough for loving me. I wouldn't be the man I am today without you. I love you Beck so much" he added leaning down and capturing Beckys lips. Becky kisses him back with all of her heart. The kiss tasted a little salty due to the tears flowing from her eyes.
Becky then stood up and took the microphone from Matt. She used her napkin that she had to dry her eyes.
"Thank you Matt, my handsome new husband. The years that I have spent with you getting to know you and love you have been the best years of my life. I love you with all my heart" Becky Said. She kissed Matt who was still standing. He then whispered something in her ear. Then she nodded and turned to her family and friends.
"Thank you all for being with us here today. You don't know how much it means to me and Matt. Thank you to Beth for help plan our wedding and do all that she did in the short amount of time that we had. You are the best new mother in law that a girl could ask for" Becky said smiling at Beth who had tears in her eyes.
"I want to say thank you to my cousin Michael for being our DJ, Pastor Monterrey for coming here from Erie to marry us, my mom for her beautiful flower arrangements helped and made by my aunt meg, all of you that helped with the wedding making sure it was ready for today, the delicious food, Veronica for doing My Hair and makeup and just doing an amazing job, all of you thank you so much I love you all" Becky said tears in her eyes. Everyone clapped and cheered. Then she started to get a nervous.
"There's uh something else I would like to say. Well me and Matt would like to say. Well first Norm is going to have a bonfire at his house after the reception for everyone so you are all welcome to be there, and the last thing is..." Becky looked at Matt. "Do you want to say it or should I?" She mouthed to him. "You say it" he mouthed back.
They looked at their friends and family. Becky cleared her throat.
"Um I just recently found out that I'm...pregnant. I'm about two weeks along" Becky Said. There were a few gasps, some cheering and then a lot of clapping. Beth and John got up for three table and ran over to Becky and Matt.
"you're expecting?!" said Beth
Becky nodded. Beth gave Becky a big hug.
"I'm going to be a grandma!" She said excitedly. Patty joined them.
"We both are already grandmas but now to another little one Yay" said Patty. She hugged Becky and then hugged Matt.
"You guys will be great parents I know it" said John
"Thanks guys" said Becky and Matt. "Let's sit back down so we can finish the speeches" added Matt. Every one went to sit back down and Michael grabbed the microphone back from Becky.
"Who would like to say something now?" Said Michael.
"Me" said Megan. He handed Beckys sister over the microphone after she stood up.
"I am so happy for both of you guys. Congratulations on the wedding and now for your new bundle of joy. I'm so excited to be an aunt to another baby" Said Megan. "Me clayton and the kids all love you guys. Congratulations"
"Thanks Megan" Becky and Matt Said
Megan handed the microphone over to Sarah who stood up next.
"Becky, your not just my best friend your like my sister and Matt your like my brother. I love spending time with you guys and helping out with willow. An I'm so happy that you guys are going to have a new addition to your new family. I love you guys" said Sarah with tears in her eyes. Becky stood up and her and Sarah hugged. Matt stood up and gave her a hug too. They all sat down.
John stood up and picked up his drink. "To the bride and groom"
"To the bride and groom" everyone repeated holding up their drinks.
Becky and Matt intertwined arms so that their hands encircled one another's as they drank a bit of champagne.
Michael walked over to his the music and system he had set up. "Now it's time for the bride and groom to have their first dance." He pressed a button and the song All of Me by John Legend started to play. Matt stood up and offered his hand to his new bride.
"May I have this dance?" He asked her.
"Yes you may" Said Becky. Becky smiled stood up and took his offered hand. He guided her over to the dance floor. She placed her hands on the nape of his neck and his arms encircled her waist as they slowed dance to the song they chose. Green eyes met brown as they swayed together.
Matt sang a little along with the lyrics and Becky smiled.
When the song was ending Matt spinned Becky away from him then pulled her back kissing her. Another song came on and it was Love me Tender by Norah Jones a song Becky chose.
This time Becky put her hands on Matt's shoulders and Matt put his hands on her waist. They began moving to the music.

Becky sang along with this song and Matt smiled. He loved listening to Becky sing. Megan, Clayton, John, Beth,Bethany, Adam, Erin and Norm all got up to dance along with the bride and groom. Even willow was up dancing with Matt's nephew David on the dance floor beside them. Sarah and Mark were going around getting pictures of everyone dancing.
"Hey Matt kiss your beautiful bride" said Mark as he bended down near them to take a shot at the lovely couple. Matt and Becky looked at each other before slowly leaning in to kiss. They French kissed in front of Mark and he took a few photos of them.
They pulled away smiling and Mark smiled back.
"Awesome thanks guys I cant wait for all these pictures to get printed out" said Mark. He walked away just as the song ended to show Sarah the pictures he took.
Matt dipped Becky as the song finally ended then he pulled her up a little and kissed her before allowing her to fully stand.
He gazed into her eyes.
"I love you Matt" Becky told him.
"I love you too" he responded. She gently kissed him.
"It is time to cut the cake" Said Michael on the microphone. Becky and Matt held hands as they walked over to the table that the cake was on that Kaitlin made.
"This cake is beautiful Kaitlin" Said Becky to Kaitlin who was standing near the table. Kaitlin and Becky hugged.
"Thanks I just hope it tastes as good as it looks" said Kaitlin. Everyone gathered around Becky and Matt. Becky picked up the knife with her right hand and Matt placed his right hand over hers. Together they cut into the cake extracting a small piece onto the plate in front of them. Matt picked up a bit of cake with his hand and fed it to Becky smushing it into her face. She giggled and did the same to him. Then they kissed cleaning off the frosting around their mouths. Everyone applauded cheered and took pictures.
Then Kaitlin and Jordan finished cutting the rest of the cake and started handing it out to everyone.They all went and sat back down at their tables to eat the cake. After everyone was finished it was time for more dancing and karaoke. Megan and Angelica sang Won't Say I'm in Love from Hercules. Mark sang The Dance by Garth Brooks and Becky's Mom Patty sang the song Climb every mountain from the Sound of Music.
When patty was done singing it was time for the father daughter dance. Although Becky's father was gone Becky decided to get up and dance with John. The song My Little Girl by Tim McGraw came on.
"why did you chose this song?" Asked John as he and Becky danced on the dance floor.
"Well my dad really liked this song. And I was going to chose the song Butterfly kisses but I can't dance or listen to that song without bawling and I didn't want to be bawling like a baby on my wedding day so I chose this one" explained Becky
"But everyone cries at weddings especially the bride" Said John
"I know but I like this song too" said Becky.
"Yeah it is pretty" Said John.
They danced for awhile till Hannah interrupted them and wanted to dance with her father. Becky hugged her before Hannah and John went and danced. After that song was over it was time for the mother daughter dance. Becky danced with Beth first and they danced to a song and then Becky danced with her mother as Matt danced with his mother.
"Take good care of her honey" Beth told her son as they danced.
"I will mom. She means everything to me" he replied. "I'm going to take good care of Becky the baby and Willow. They are all my whole world." Beth smiled.
Becky and patty sang along to the song that was playing. It was In my daughters eyes by Martina McBride. They were crying and holding each other. When it was over Patty kissed her daughter on the cheek.
"I'm so happy for you Becky. You will always be my baby girl" said Patty as tears strolled down her cheeks. Becky wiped her moms tears away and hugged her close.
"and you will always be my mommy know matter what" Said Becky. Patty kissed the top of her head. The song ended.
"Now Im going to go dance with my new son in law" Said Patty. She walked over to Matt and Beth. She tapped Matt on the shoulder and he looked at her.
"May I have this dance now?" said Patty
Beth and Matt nodded. She gave Matt a hug before walking over to Becky and dancing with her.
"My son really loves you you know"Beth said to Becky
"I know and I truly love him with all my heart" Becky said. Beth grinned at her new daughter in Law.
Meanwhile Patty and Matt were dancing near by.
"You know I don't think I have ever seen my Becky as happy as she been with you" Patty told him.
"Life seems darker and sad without Becky by my side. She makes everything seem better. I've never been more happier than I am when I'm by her side" Matt replied.
Patty smiled at her new son in law. Beth had stopped dancing and Becky was now dancing with her cousin Michael.
"Oh look Mike Matt is dancing with my mom" Becky Said while she was dancing with him.
"Matt's a great guy" said Michael
"Yes he is" Becky replied.
"I can't believe this day has finally arrived" she admitted.
"Me either Beck. But I'm really glad it did. Im very happy for you and Matt" Said Michael. Becky smiled at her cousin and he kissed her forehead. When they were done dancing Michael went back over to his computer and put on the song that Matt was going to dance with willow. It was Always be your Baby by Natalie Grant. Matt took willow in his arms and he placed her feet down ontop of his. She smiled warmly up at him while he danced with her on his shoes. Mark took pictures of them.
Becky danced with her cousins bf Tyler and then her sisters husband Clayton. Then Becky danced with her little girl to I want a mom from the rugrats in Paris movie. Becky held willow as she danced with her daughter.
"are you happy you have a new daddy now?" Becky asked her. Willow nodded and smiled.
"I'm glad I have a new daddy and mommy and a new baby brother or sister on the way" Said Willow. Becky smiled at her little girl as tears formed in her eyes. She kissed willows cheek and swayed with her to the music. When it was over it was time to dance to some fast songs. Becky danced with all her friends to Cotton eye joe, cha cha slide, Cupid shuffle and Macoreena.
After the last dance Becky grabbed her bouquet and all the single and unmarried women gathered behind her as Michael played All the Single Ladies by Rihanna on his computer. Becky threw it up into the air and Angelica caught it. Becky turned and hugged her.
Mark grabbed a chair and placed it into the middle of the floor. Becky walked over and sat down. Matt kneeled down in front of her. All the single and unmarried men lined up behind him. Matt put his hands up Beckys dress teasing her thighs and legs with his finger tips as he did so as he looked for the garter. He finally found it hidden on her right leg and he managed to pull it off. He stood back up and then threw it behind him and Tyler caught it. Tyler walked over to Angelica and kisses her. She sat down and he kneeled placing the garter on her right leg under her dress.
"I guess this means Angelica is next" Said Megan to Becky as Angelica and Tyler took pictures.
"Yep. Maybe he will propose to Angelica on her birthday next year" Becky replied
"That's great. I think you planned for Angelica to catch the bouquet and for Tyler to catch the garter" Megan said looking at her sister.
"Would I do such a thing?" Becky asked innocently
Megan giggled. "Yes. But that's okay sis. Id do the same thing" said Megan.
"But you didn't when you got married" Becky Said
"Yeah I know" Said Megan
A pair of warm arms went around Beckys waist and she smiled as she leaned back against her husband.
"By the chance have you seen my new wife Megan" Matt Asked
"I believe sir she is right in your arms" Becky answered.
"Right where she belongs" Matt replied. She turned around in his arms.
"There's no place where I rather be" Becky told him while heartedly before they leaned in and kissed passionately.
"Awe" said Megan. Matt and Becky held each other and kissed more before Clayton cleared his throat.
"Come on you two newly weds stop that and save it for the honeymoon" said Clayton
"Oh we will. There's going to be more then just kissing" Said Matt. He winked at Becky and she turned a bright crimson. Matt kissed her blushing cheek.
"So are you guys going to norms for the bonfire" Asked Matt
"We might we will see" Said Clayton
"Depends how tired the kids are after this" Said Megan "speaking of which better go check on them" megan walked over to where Cayden was playing on the floor with his sisters. Clayton followed her. Matt took his hand and placed it on Beckys belly. Becky wrapped her hand around his.
"Maybe this little one will end up being twins" said Matt
"You want twins?" Becky asked him
"No but you never know. Twins run in my family too" said Matt
"Well let's just hope for one baby"Becky Said
"Okay love" said Matt. They kissed again before Michael called them over to start opening their wedding presents. They walked over hand and hand to the gift table and sat down in chairs. Beckys grandma Judy and aunt Sharon and cousins all had to leave soon so she opened their gifts first. Then they opened Megan and Clayton and kids gifts, Patty and Chris gifts, Sarah and Marks gifts, Beth and John gifts, and Matt's grandparents gifts. Then they opened the rest of their gifts from their other family members and guests.
"Thank you all for the wonderful gifts" said Becky and Matt. "And Thank you again for coming and being here with us."
Becky hugged her family members that couldn't go with them to the bonfire. Then they left. She hugged her sister and her nieces and nephew before they had to go. Matt's parents stayed to help clean and pick up everything, as did Beckys mom and some of her friends and family that stayed to help. When everything was cleaned and picked up and the church was back in order it was time to go.
Becky and Matt hugged and thanked Pastor Monterrey before he left with his wife. They headed back to Erie. Becky hugged her mom and thanked her and her aunt meg for being there and staying to help. She hugged her cousin Michael after he was done picking up his music stuff. And putting it in the trunk of his van.
After everyone else finally left besides those that were going to the bonfire Becky and Matt finally said goodbye to Matt's parents. Sarah Mark and Willow stayed to help cleanup. Willow was also going to go to the bonfire with Sarah and Mark. Then they were going to watch her while Becky and Matt went to the hotel for the weekend.
"Thanks So much for everything guys, you are amazing" said Becky
"Very amazing thanks mom and dad" said Matt. He hugged his parents also.
"Your welcome guys. We love you" Said Beth
"Sorry we can't go to the bonfire but Hannah and Jordan said they will be over later" said John
"Yeah that's what my sister Megan said after she puts the kids to bed and Clayton's parents are watching them" Becky said
"Good well we got to to go. Love you both so much" Said Beth. She got into the car. John got into the car next to his wife and started it up. They drove out of the parking lot. Matt looked at his glowing bride and kissed her on the cheek. She looked at him.
"You look so beautiful Beck like your glowing" Matt Said
"Awe thank you love" Becky said smiling and blushing.
"You ready to go get out of these clothes and get on something a little more comfortable" Said Matt with a mischievous grin.
"Yeah and I'm also ready to go to a bonfire and sit in my new husbands arms. And then go to the hotel for two nights" said Becky
Matt smiled and then wrapped his arms around his new wife. Becky wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I love you Becky so so much" said Matt
"I love you too. Forever and always" said Becky
"Forever and always" said Matt. They kissed passionately all of heir love and emotions pouring into the kiss. They were finally husband and wife. Matt grabbed Beckys hand and they walked over to his car looking forward to the road ahead with all their heart.
