LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO

Chapter 12

The next day it was my birthday. I am 27 years old today I thought as I got ready for the day ahead. I decided to wear my favorite flowered green top that had a low v cut and was a strapless top with my white shawl over it. And a white skirt and sandals. Then I got willow dressed. She was wearing her favorite Minnie Mouse dress and matching sandals. It was very warm outside I noticed when I opened up the windows.
My phone went off and I answered it.
"Hello" I Said
"Good morning Becky happy birthday" Said my mom
"Thank you mommy" I Said as I sat down on the bed to put on my sandals. Willow sat down on the bed with me.
"Your welcome. What do you have planned for your special day?" Asked my mom
"Oh I'm going shopping with Sarah and willow after breakfast and then going to meet Megan and Clayton and the kids are taking me and willow out to lunch and then later tonight Matt has a surprise planned for me. Just don't know what it is" I said
"Oh that sounds like a fun day hon" said Patty
"Yeah I think so" I Said
"I wonder what Matt's surprise is for you" said patty
"Me too. I don't even know what he got me. He probably didn't get me anything big because of the engagement ring everything else we have going on" I said
"Probably. Got to use your money for the wedding" said patty
"Well some of it. Matt's parents want to do a lot for the wedding. I mean Matt's mom is my wedding planner. I can believe I'm getting married at the end of the month. I really want you to be there. But if you can't I'll understand. I promise I won't be mad" I told her.
"I know Becky I want to be there too. But if I can't maybe you and Matt can get married again here in pa in front of justice of the peace for us or something" said patty
"Yeah we could do that" I Said
"Or just have someone video tape it for me"said patty
"Well sarah is going to be doing photos. But shes also one of my bridesmaids so her husband mark will be video tapping and taking pictures for the wedding" I Said
"Okay so he can just send me the video or something. It will get figured out" said patty
"Yeah it will. I'm just so excited and nervous and scared about it all" I said
"I know you are that's why I want to be there. I'm going to talk to Chris and see what we can do. Maybe aunt meg will be able to help and get off work too. I don't know yet but I'll talk to them"
"Okay mom. Just do what you can" I said
"Okay i have to go get some coffee and get around for work. I love you Becky" said patty
"I love you too mommy" I Said "I miss you"
"I miss you too. Have a good day and Happy Birthday" Said Patty
"I will and thanks again mommy bye" I said
"Bye". We hung up and then I went into the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. While I was doing my hair and makeup willow had left the room and went out to the kitchen to help Sarah with breakfast. She ran back into the room when she was done.
"Mommy come out to kitchen" said willow
"Okay willow" I said. I followed her out of the room and into the kitchen and to my surprise there were balloons everywhere and Sarah had presents on the table.
"Happy Birthday!!" Said Sarah and Mark and willow when I walked in.
"Awe thanks guys" I Said. Willow ran over to me and hugged me.
"Happy birthday mommy"willow said
"Thank you honey" I said I kissed the top of her head. We all sat down at the table. Sarah made m chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and juice.
"This all looks great Sarah thank you" I Said
"Your welcome" Said Sarah we all all ate.
"Open your presents" Said Sarah.
"Okay" I Said. I opened the one that said it was from willow. First willow made me a handmade card thanks to help from Sarah, it was her handprints made into a red heart that said I luv mommy on it happy birthday. Then I opened the present from her. It was a homemade popsicle stick picture frame with mine and willows picture in it.
"Awe this is so sweet. When did you guys make this with her" I said
"That day we watched her" said Mark. "Instead of going to the park we went to the store and got things for willow to make you a birthday present"
"Awe you guys are so sweet thank you" I Said. I hugged willow then mark and Sarah.
"Open ours next" Said Sarah. I opened their card first. It had a cat on it that said I hope you have a purrfect birthday love Sarah and Mark.
Next was the present. It was a green dress with sequins on it and a low v cut and short sleeve. There was also a bag of skittles, Mama Mia 2 soundtrack and two tickets to go see Hairspray on Broadway whenever I wanted. They were good till the end of next year.
"Oh Sarah thank you" I Said. We stood up and I gave her and mark big hugs. "I love my gifts and you guys very much,"
"Your welcome Becky glad you like them" said Sarah
"Happy Birthday" Said Mark. We all stayed there talking for awhile till it was time for me and Sarah and willow to go shopping. We went to the mall. Sarah and I tried on clothes and we even got willow a few new outfits a new toy and took her to the arcade where she played a few games and won a Minnie Mouse necklace.
After our fun it was time for me to meet Megan Clayton and my nieces and nephew for lunch. They wanted to have it at Beemans. We got to Beemans and got out of the car. We walked inside and found Megan Clayton and the kids at a big table. I saw when we got there my cousin Angelica and Tyler were there, and so was my grandma, my aunt Sharon and my uncle garret and aunt Brittany.
I hugged everyone before sitting down at the table with willow and Sarah. Matt arrived there at Beemans a few minutes later and we kissed and hugged.We all talked and laughed and had a nice lunch together. Sarah and Tyler got me a card and green necklace that my cousin Angelica made. My aunt Sharon and my grandma got me cat slippers and a new matching cat jammies. My uncle garret and Brittany got me a card with a 20 dollar bill in it and from my sister Megan Clayton and the kids, I got a cat T-shirt and a card with a gift card to Cracker Barrel.
"Thank you everyone for the surprise and the birthday presents, this was an amazing lunch birthday and I'm so happy I got to celebrate it with all of you" I Said.
"You will get my birthday present later hon" said Matt in my ear.
"Okay love" I Said smiling. He seized my lips in a kiss and I kissed him back ever so eagerly.
"So when's the wedding?" Asked my aunt Sarah.
"Oh for those that don't know Matt and I are getting married at the end of the month. The reason why is because well matt wants to go with me and willow back to Arizona at the end of the month and we figured why not have the wedding here with all of you here before we go. This way you can all be here for it before we leave" I Said
"What day is it on?" Asked my grandma Judy
"August 17th" Said Matt
"That's next Friday" Said aunt Sharon
"We know. It's also our anniversary of being back together as a couple we thought why not hav that as our wedding anniversary too" said Matt
"It's at 2 o clock. At the seventh day Adventist church" I said
"We hope you can all be there" Said Matt
"I wouldn't miss it for the world cuz" Said Angelica
"You know if she's going I'm going" Said Tyler
"We will try to be there" Said my uncle Garret
"We will be there right Judy" Said aunt Sharon
"Oh you bet we will be, want me to see if Jill and Aunt Betty can come we can alll ride together" Said grandma Judy
"Good idea" Said aunt Sharon. "Is your mom going to be there Becky"
"I hope so. Not completely sure yet. She doesn't know if she will be able to get it off or not. But if she can't make it then me and Matt can just do a simple ceremony for her and aunt meg there in Arizona" I said
"I'm sure your mom will try her best to be here Becky" said Sarah
"I hope so" I Said sighing.
"Do you have the wedding already planned?" Asked aunt Sharon
"Yes" me and Matt Said together.
"That's good" Said aunt Sharon
"It's a dish to pass too" said Matt. "Bring your own beer if you drink alcohol and we will have soda and juice there for the younger ones"
"Sounds good kind of like Megan's wedding"said grandma Judy.
"It kind of is like hers. Besides it being in the church we went to when we were kids and our colors are different. But it's all we can afford because Matt's going to need his money for traveling back to arizona with me" I Said
"We will probably drive there" Said Matt
"Okay well that makes sense to do it that way. You will see all of us there Becky and Matt" said my aunt Sharon
"Good" I Said happily
"that's great" said Matt
"What are you doing after this Becky?" Asked Angelica
"Matt has something special planned for me for my birthday. Don't know what it is but guess I'll have to wait and see" I said
"Matt tell me what it is" said Megan walking over and whispering in Matt's ear. Matt whispered something in her ear but I couldn't catch it.
"Oh that sounds great, Becky will love that" Said Megan
"What sounds great? Love what?" I questioned.
"Sorry sis my lips are sealed" Said Megan
"Grr that's no fair" I said and crossed my arms like a kid. They all laughed at me. After lunch was over I said goodbye to my family before they left giving each of them a hug.
"We can watch willow till you are back from your date" Said Megan
"Okay" I Said. "Thanks sis" I opened Matt's door and handed Megan over willows bag in case she needed it. She took it and then hugged me before helping Matt with the kids and getting them all into their car seats. Matt helped Clayton put willows car seat in their car too. Then he opened my passenger door for me. I kissed him on the cheek before getting in. He closed my door walked around the car and then got in on the drivers side.
"So where are we going?" I asked him
"You will see love" Said Matt. "Just sit back and enjoy the ride."
I smiled and did as told. When we arrived to where ever we were, Matt and I got out of his car. Then he made me close my eyes. I did. Then he grabbed my hand and guided me up a hill. When we reached the top I opened my eyes. We were at Roundtop Park and we were on the hillside where you could see the town of Athens and Sayre from there. Matt had a picnic dinner set up with candle lights.
"Oh Matt this is beautiful and so romantic" I Said
"Anything for you Beck" said Matt. We kissed on the lips before we sat down on the blanket that he had set up. I noticed that the blanket we were sitting on was the same blanket that I got for him years ago on our first Valentine's Day together. I smiled at the thought.
After awhile Matt handed me my birthday presents. He got me a card, skittles, and a diamond cat necklace with matching earrings. I thanked him with a big kiss and hug. We had just fruit and sandwiches for our dinner and enjoyed each other's company. I sat between Matt's legs and he had his arms wrapped around me. We stayed like that for awhile in each other's arms.
"This is perfect Matt the best birthday ever" I Said
"I'm glad you loved it Becky" Said Matt. "This is deffinetly one of my favorite evenings"
"One of them? Do you have a list or something?"I asked
"Yeah I do. One of them is the day that you said you would marry me" said Matt with a big smile. I smiled back before kissing him on the lips. It didn't take long for Matt to deepen the kiss. We didn't pull away till we lacked of oxygen. After sitting there for awhile and it was getting dark out Matt and I decided to pack up and head back to Sarah's house where we once again spent the night in each other's arms.
