Chapter 10

After a long but wonderful amazing weekend it was time for me and Matt to go back to my sister and friends in PA. We had such an amazing time at the falls. We went on the Rainbow Bridge, and on a Ferry that went across the top of the falls, and we went on the Canadian side and had Canadian food, and every night we went out to dinner to a new restaurant. It was amazing. I took so many pictures till my phone and tablet were full of photos.
But this morning while I was packing Matt had went to talk to someone who apparently took a private video and pictures of our engagement on Friday night. He told me about it when he returned to the hotel room this morning to help me finishing packing our stuff.
I looked at the pictures and smiled with delight. They were done by a professional. "I can't believe you got this done without me even knowing about it" I Said.
"Well you were distracted and in complete bliss when I asked you to marry me that you
Didn't even see someone taking pictures and a video of us" said Matt
"But how did you ask? When?" I said
"Oh a week before I picked you up at the airport,after I of course, talked to your mom and Megan over the phone and telling them I was going to ask for your hand in marriage, that same week, I called up this place and told them our plans. They set me up with this hotel room, all the places we were going to go, and then they had a special service for photographers that took pictures and videos of Couples that get engaged at Niagara Falls" Said Matt
"Oh wow"I said.
"Yeah do you like the pictures I think they came out amazing" said Matt
"Yes I love them" I Said. "I can't wait to put them in a picture frame and post them on Facebook" I said happily. "Wait till my family and friends see them"
"Well I'm sure they are going to like them Beck" Matt Said. I smiled and kissed him. He kissed me back. Then we went to finish packing. We grabbed our bags and then left the hotel room. We got down to the lobby of the hotel and went over to the desk. While Matt paid and checked us out I went over to her hotel store and bought a few souvenirs. We said goodbye and thanked the staff and management of the hotel for letting us stay there before we walked out to Matt's car. We put our bags in the trunk and then got in.
Me and Matt got on our seatbelts and he drove us back to PA.

When he arrived at Sarah's house we walked inside. Sarah mark and willow were watching a movie when we walked in.
"Hey guys" we said.
"Mommy!" Willow screamed happily and ran right over to me giving me a big hug. I bended down and hugged her back tightly. Boy did I miss my little girl while I was gone.
"Oh mommy missed you sweetheart. Were you a good girl for aunty Sarah and uncle mark?" I asked her
Willow nodded. "Yes.i went to Chuckie cheese with uncle clay clay and aunt meg and cousins yeterday"said willow
"That sounds like fun" I Said. "Did you get any prizes?"
She showed me a small bag of small prizes she won. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. "I'm glad you had fun and was a good girl. Mommy got you a shirt from the hotels gift store"
I opened up my purse and pulled out the pink Niagara Falls shirt that I got for willow before we had left. She took off the shirt she had on and I pulled it on her. It was. A little big but she didn't care she loved it. "Thank you mommy" she said then she ran over to Sarah and Mark and showed them her new shirt
After awhile of talking and catching up with them me and Sarah walked into mine and willows room.
"Soo" Said Sarah
"What?"
"Did he ask you?"
I smiled. "Did who ask me what?"
"Becky come on" Said Sarah. I showed her my left hand with my brand new engagement ring on it and she screamed and started jumping up and down.
"My best friend is engaged!!!!!"
Mark came into the room. "What's going on?"
"Look Mark look Becky and Matt are engaged to be married!" Said Sarah. Mark followed his wife's gaze to my hand and he smiled. He hugged me. I hugged him back and then hugged Sarah.
"Congrats!" He said. Matt came into the room with willow. He smiled at us and then he and mark did a friendly hug. Sarah hugged him next.
"I'm so happy for you guys. Matt that ring is gorgeous" said Sarah.
"You knew that I was going to ask her to marry me sarah" Matt reminded her
"Yeah I know but I kind of forgot about it hehe" said Sarah.
Matt shook his head. 'No wonder why her and Becky are best friends. They both are forgetful' He thought. I walked over to Matt and kissed him breaking him out of his thoughts. He kissed me back and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Here Sarah you guys want to look at the photos" I said moving myself away from Matt and opened up my purse on the bed. I handed Sarah over our photos. Then I handed mark over my tablet so he could see the pictures we took at the falls. They went out to the kitchen to enjoy the pictures. Willow followed them because she wanted to see the pictures too.
I went back over to Matt's arms and he kissed me on the lips. I placed my hands on his face as I kissed him back. He wrapped both arms around my waist as we French kissed. We pulled away for a moment but still were wrapped in each other's arms.
"I love you Becky so so much" Said Matt
"I love you too my Mattie forever and always" I said. Just as we had went back to kissing this time Matt's phone went off. We pulled away from each other and I went back out to the kitchen where Sarah and Mark were with willow at the table. I sat down and looked at the photos with them.
Matt stayed in the bedroom in the doorway talking on his phone.
"Who's he talking to?" Asked Mark
"I don't know probably his parents. We haven't told them about the engagement yet" I Said
"Did you tell you mom?" Sarah asked me
"Yes I did, first person to know" I said. "Then we told Megan and Clayton and now you guys"
"Cool" Said Sarah. "I don't care if I'm not the first person to know I'm just so happy for you Becky" Sarah gave me a side ways hug. I hugged her back. We grinned and talked about mine and Matt's trip while we looked at the photos. After about 20 minutes Matt finally hanged up his phone and walked over to us.
"Who was that hon?" I asked as he came over and then sat down beside me at the table.
"That was mom and dad. They want us to come over there for dinner" Said Matt.
"Great. We can tell them about the engagement" I said.
"That's what I was thinking" said Matt
"So when's the wedding?" Bugged Mark after he stood up to get a beer out of the refrigerator.
"We don't know yet we will talk about that when we are ready" I Said. Mark took out two beers and handed Matt one.
"Thanks" Said Matt before he opened up the beer and took a drink.
"Want a soda Becky?" Asked Mark
"No thank you. I'll just have a water" I Said. Mark grabbed me and Sarah each a water bottle before he closed the refrigerator. He handed me over one and then Sarah one.
"Hey Matt can you help me out with the tv in our bedroom. It's not working right" Said Mark.
"Sure" Said Matt and he stood up and followed mark to Sarah and marks bedroom that was down the hall. I watched them go and then turned to Sarah.
"So What do you think of the photos" I asked her
"Love them" said Sarah. "You and Matt look so happy in this one" she showed me the photo of us right after Matt had just got done proposing to me and I had said yes.
"Yeah we were" I Said. "And are"
"I can see that" said Sarah. "You guys should have the wedding around here that way I can see it"
"Well we probably will because I want you in it. and I want Megan Bethany and Erin in it too" I Said. "Plus a lot of my family and friends all live around here so it's the best area to have it"
"True. And I would love to be in your wedding becks" Said Sarah. Me and Sarah hugged. Matt and mark came back out from the bedroom.
"Did you fix the tv?" Asked Sarah
"Yep it's working great now" said Matt
"Thanks again Matt" Said Mark
"Your welcome" Said Matt. Matt came over to me and leaned down and kissed me on the lips. I kissed him back.
"Get a room" said Mark. And we pulled away from each other to look at him. Matt sticks his tongue out at him. Then he looked down at his watch.
"We better get going so we are not late to dinner. And mom and dad want to see willow so better get her a bag around" said Matt
"Okay hon" I Said. I got up from the table and walked into the bedroom that me and willow shared. I started packing a bag for her. When I was done me Matt and Willow said goodbye to Sarah and Mark and that we would see them later tonight before we left Sarah's house got back inside Matt's car and he drove us to his house.
We got there ten minutes later. Matt's dad John was sitting in the garage working on his car when we pulled into the driveway. We got out of Matt's car and Matt helped willow out of her seat. She jumped out of the car and ran over to John who gave her a big hug.
"Hi Willow! You've gotten a little taller since the last time I saw you" said John
Willow smiled at him. "Hi john it's great to see you again" I Said and me and John hugged.
"It's great to see you again too Becky honey" said John with a smile.
"I'll go tell mom we are here and see if she needs any help with dinner" said Matt. He kissed me on the lips before he walked inside the house. I watched him go with a loving smile.
"So hows it like living in Arizona?" Asked John
"It's amazing there. Always sunny and warm. I like my job and my small apartment. Willow loves her school and friends she has made since moving there. It's been great" I said. "But I do miss living here in PA too"
"Well you grew up in this area so of course you miss it" Said John
"Yeah" I Said.
"But who knows maybe you and Matt will get a place in Arizona and then you guys can just visit pa when you can" said John
"Maybe who knows" I said. Matt came back outside a few minutes later.
"Dinner is ready" he said. Me John and willow followed Matt inside the house just as his brother his wife and their kids pulled up into the driveway. We all greeted and hugged and willow went to the living room and started playing with toys with Jaylin and her brother and sister. While the kids played I helped Matt, his mom Beth and his sister in law Kaitlin finish getting the table set and dinner around.
10 minutes later Hannah came home from work and walked inside. She smiled when she saw me Matt and Willow.
"Hannah what are you doing here?" Asked Beth.
"You told me to come over because Matt and Becky were here for dinner" said Hannah. She walked over to me and we hugged.
"You look great Becky" Said Hannah
"So do you" I Said
"Yeah you really have lost a lot of weight" Said Kaitlin.
"I know before I left for Arizona I was looking at over 200 pounds. I move to Arizona and within the year I've lost over 60 pounds" I Said
"Wow" said all three of the Roach women. I couldn't believe that I was going to be a Roach women someday soon. We all continued to talk and then got the table set with the food plates and silverware. Everyone came out and got a plate with food and silverware and sat down to eat.
After we were all done eating Matt stood up and cleared his throat.
"Um me and Becky have an announcement for all of you" said Matt. He looked down at me and smiled. I took his hand and he interlocked our fingers. Then he looked at his family before saying this.
"Me and Becky are engaged to be married" said Matt
The girls all looked at me and I showed them the ring. They all smiled and started chatting excitedly all at once. Beth kept taking my hand and staring at my ring. Hannah wouldnt stop hugging me and the men were all congratulating Matt and I.
"Thank you all. Becky and I are very excited about getting a married. We haven't quite set a date yet but we will keep you all up to date when it is" said Matt after he sat back down beside me.
"I hope it's soon" said Beth
"It doesn't need to be that soon mom. It takes two years to plan a wedding" Said Matt's brother Jordan
"That's True but still I hope I can help do something for the wedding" Said Beth
"You will Beth" I Said smiling at her.
"The biggest decision is where me and Matt are going to live once we are married" I Said. "All of mine and willow stuff is still in Arizona so either way at the end of the month I still have to go back there"
"Yeah but I was thinking Beck if we just got married here in PA before you went back to Arizona and had a wedding here for our family and friends, then I could go with you and Willow to Arizona" said Matt. I looked at him
"I didn't know you were thinking that" I said.
"Yeah I've been doing a lot of thinking" Said Matt "because I'm trying to plan for our future" he smiled at me and smiled back at him.
"But what about everything here you can't just get up and walk away" I said.
"Becky Me Beth and Matthew all talked for along time about this. Especially after he told us he wanted to marry you" said John. "Matt has already called the corporate office for Walmart there in downtown Phoenix and they said whenever he is ready he can have a job there right in the management department. All he has to do is call them as soon as he gets settled there in Arizona. He doesn't have a lot of stuff here just have to get a small Uhaul or a truck. And as for a wedding your whole family is here except for your mom and aunt and we can all help you guys plan a wedding and have it here within this month"
"Yeah we could even have it at the end of the month before you leave" said Beth
I looked at Matt. "Is this all true?"
"Yes Becky it is. Every word. When I told you I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you and that I missed you so much that it drove me crazy it literally did. That's when i decided I wanted to marry you and have a future with you and I wanted to put my life into action. So I called up the corporate office about a month or so ago told them what was going on and gave them my resume and the head CEO there said that as soon as I get settled in Arizona I'll have a job waiting for me."
"Wow bro that's awesome" said Jordan
"Yeah a big corporate job and since Becky already has an apartment there. You won't have to worry about getting a place. Because you Becky and willow can just live there together till you guys get your own house" said Hannah
"well that's the plan. Up to Becky what she thinks about it" Said Matt. He looked at me.
"I love that idea Matt" I Said.
"You do?" Asked Matt
"Yes I do" I Said smiling.
"Well then that's settle. Guess we have a wedding to get together" Said Beth. "And no worries we will help you"
"Thank you all so much. But I want my mom and my aunt meg to be here for our wedding but I don't know if they will be able to be here for it" I Said
"We will figure something out Becky. I know your mom being here is important to you. I'll see what I can do" said Matt.
"Thanks honey. I love you so much" I said.
"I love you too". We French kissed in front of everyone there. The women cooed and the Roach men all hoot and hollered.
" I'm really happy for you and my brother" said Hannah to me as Matt willow and I were getting ready to go back to Sarah's. Matt was up in his room grabbing clothes to bring with him because he was going to spend the night there.
"Thanks Hannah. I've never been happier" I Said. "I couldn't believe he proposed to me. After all this time. After everything we been through he finally did it."
"I know. When he told me about it at first I didn't think it was such a good idea but now as I look at you two and how happy you guys are being together and seeing my brother so happy when he talks about you and willow I don't know I guess I had a change of heart. I really am happy for you guys" said Hannah
"Thank you Hannah" I Said. We hugged. Matt came back down the stairs and saw Hannah and I hugging.
"Awe sisterly love" he joked. Hannah and I looked at each other.
"Well yeah technically on the day we, Matt and I, get married you and I Hannah will be sisters" I said
"Well sister in law" said Hannah
"Right. But we don't have to add that in law part" I said and Hannah laughed.
"We better get going hon" Matt Said. "Come on Willow I'll help you get in the car"
"Okay daddy" Said Willow Who was falling asleep on the couch. She got up off of it hugged John and Beth and then grabbed Matt's hand. He took her out the front door to the car.
"Did she call him daddy" said Hannah
"I thought I was the only one who heard that" said Beth
"Willow,looks at Matt like her father even though she knows he's not. Yet anyways" I said
"When she start calling him daddy" said Beth
"Back in Arizona every time I was looking at a picture of Matt and I willow would point at Matt and say daddy" I Said "I didn't have the heart to tell her no that's not your daddy."
"Matt has told me that he thinks of willow like his daughter" said John
"Maybe he will adopt willow after you guys get married" said Beth
"Maybe I sure hope so" I Said. "Anyways I better get going before Matt starts honking the horn"
"Well it was good seeing you Becky and I'm so happy for you and our son" said Beth as she hugged me.
"Thanks mom" I said and she smiled. John hugged me next.
"You make my son the happiest I have ever seen him. I knew it from the moment I met you that you were going to be the one for him. Yeah you guys had that fight years ago and broke up and you cheated on him but I knew it in my gut and in my heart that you guys would find your way back together again. And you did" said John
"My mom knew it too" I told him. "She kept telling me that Matt and I would get back together. Kept saying we were meant to be, well, she was right on that. We are and we did get back together and I cherish each and every day that I have him and willow in my life" I Said.
"I still hate myself and beat myself up for what I did and someday when I die I'll have to answer to god for it but in the meantime though I'm going to love every second every minute every hour of every day that Matt forgives me and took me back and loves me for me. As I do him. I love him with my whole heart and well being. He's all that I ever wanted in a man. He may not see that in himself but I see it every time I look at him"
"I know you do Becky. And our son loves you just as much" said John. "Now you better get going"
"Alright have a good night guys" I Said and headed for the door.
"Becky before you go, do you want to meet or you come over here sometime so we all can discuss the wedding details?" Said Beth
"Sure that sounds great" I Said. "How's Wednesday?"
"Sounds good Im off from work that day" said Beth
"Okay I'll see you then. I'll come by at around 1" I Said
"Okay have a good night" Said Beth
"You too good night love you all" I said and with that I walked over to Matt's car got in and he drove us to Sarah's house. When we got there I put willow in bed who was already fast asleep then me and Matt got ready for bed. We made love for awhile keeping our voices down so that we wouldn't wake willow or Sarah or mark and then we fell asleep in each other's arms.
