Chapter 11

When it was Wednesday I had Megan and Sarah go with me to Matt's house to talk to his mom  about the wedding. Megan was more then thrilled that I was going to get married at the end of the month and she was throwing a big party for me and Matt.
We got to Matt's house and walked inside after Beth opened the door.
"Where's Matt?" Asked Megan while looking around.
"He's with his dad. They went to Matt's grandparents house to tell them about the wedding"I told her.
"Oh cool" Said Megan
"It's really a good idea that you guys are getting married at the end of the month at least before Matt's grandmother dies. She's Johns mother" said Beth
"I didn't know she was dying till Matt told me awhile ago" I said
"We didn't know about it either till you told us" said Sarah
"Well then it is a good idea that's it's happening now rather then later,she will be able to see it" Said Megan
"Yes that's what Matt is happy about" I Said
"So where are we having the wedding at?" Asked Beth as we all sat down in her living room.
"I was thinking about the church that me and Megan went to when we were children and teenagers. I already spoke to our old pastor Monterrey and he's more then happy to marry us" I said.
"When did you call him becks" Said Megan
"Yesterday" I Said
"Oh. Well that will be good to see him" said Megan "We will have to tell mom that he's going to be the one that marries you and Matt"
"Already did" I Said
"Alright so the wedding is going to be at Seventh day Adventist Church here in Sayre PA" said Beth as she wrote it down in a notebook. We all had notebooks with us and wrote it down as well. "When and what time?"
"On August 17th" I said
"Why that day Becks?" Asked Sarah
"Well it mark two weeks before we leave for Arizona and it's also mine and Matt's anniversary of dating so why not it be our permanent anniversary for marriage too" I said
"Awe what a wonderful idea Becky" said Beth. "So August 17. Okay now what time?"
"How's 2? It's in the afternoon gives us plenty of time in the morning to get the church ready and then after the wedding and the reception we can go to Matt's best friend Norm house for a bonfire. He already told Matt if we needed to use his huge yard for anything we were more then welcome to" I Said
"we can even have the party there" I added to Megan
"Well Clayton and I were thinking about having the party at Pennsylvania Grand Canyon" Said Megan. "The Friday after you guys get married"
"That sounds good" I Said
"I love the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon" Said Sarah
"2 in the afternoon" sAid Beth. We all wrote the time and place down in our notebooks.
"Okay are you and Matt having any theme colors?" She then asked.
"Yes blue and green. Green being my favorite color and blue being Matt's" I Said
"Alright. Are you having any girls be the bridesmaids" said Beth
I looked at Megan and Sarah and smiled. "I have several ladies in mind that I want to be my bridesmaids. Megan, Sarah, Erin, Bethany and Hannah if she wants to but she has to wear a dress" I said
"Hannah would be honored I can't wait to tell her" said Beth.
"All you girls have to do is find a green dress. It does not have to be expensive just green and it doesn't have to be the same color green just a green" I said. "The guys can wear black tux's with blue shirts underneath" I said
"Yeah they can get their shirts at Walmart" Said Beth
"And we can get ours at the mall or something" Said Megan
"Exactly but like I said it doesn't have to be expensive" I said
"Alright. How about flowers?" Said Beth
"I don't know about that because I really want my mom to be here to do the flowers with her pretty flower arrangements" I said
"I hope mom can make it" Said Megan
"Me too sis. She said she was going to see what she can do" I said
"Well we will leave a question mark by the flowers until we find out if your mom can come or not" Said Beth
"Okay" we wrote it down.
"How about table cloths and napkin colors?"
"Can be the same as our colors. Green and blue nothing special" I said
"Silverwear"
"Plastic easy to use and disposable. Same with the plates and bowls and cups. Food we can do a dish to pass. Easy foods to make." I Said
"Okay we can put that with the invitations" said Beth
"No invitations. I'm just doing a collage on Facebook and I'll make an event thing to let everyone know" I said. "Matt already agreed that would be easier" I said
"What about drinks?"
"Bring your own beer for us adults. As for the younger kids we can get sodas and drinks at the dollar store" I said
"That sounds good" Beth Said.
"Your wedding is almost going to be like mine" Said Megan
"Except I'm having mine in a church you had yours outside" I said
"Not the first one" said Megan
"Oh right. Well I guess I just liked your first wedding so much figured it would be easier for mine and Matt's" I said "is it okay sis if mine is a little like yours?"
"Yeah that's fine with me Becks. Whatever makes you and Matt happy" Said Megan
I smiled and hugged her. "Thanks sis" I said
"Now what about the ceremony anything special Pastor Monterrey is planning for that?" Said Beth
"Just that he was going to do a regular service about love between god and his people and then the love between Adam and Eve. We are going to sing my favorite Christian songs Amazing Grace,How Great Thou Art and Thy Word" I Said
"Okay and then he's having the wedding part after that" said Beth.
"Yes my cousin Michael is going to do the music. He already said on the phone he was coming even if he had to take a weekend off to be here. If my mom can make it she is also walking me down the aisle. If she can't make it then I want John too" I said
"Didn't you want dads picture in the wedding? I remember you telling me that whenever you got married you wanted the person that walked you down the aisle to be holding dads picture" said Megan
"Yes" I Said. "I already have the picture for it" I grabbed my purse and opened it. I took out the picture frame with my dads picture in it. I handed it to Beth.
"Awe this is a nice picture of him" said Beth
"Thanks its my favorite of him" I said.
"The last one before he died" said Megan as she took the picture from Beth and looked at it. Tears started to weld in her eyes and I hugged her. She hugged me back before wiping her tears away on her sleeve.
"So who's doing photos, hair and makeup" said Beth
"I'm doing photos" Said Sarah.
"Because Sarah has a masters from college in photography" I said
"How is she going to do that if she's going to be in there wedding?" Megan asked curiously
"During the times she is in the wedding and has to be in pictures her husband Mark will be doing the photos" I said
"Don't worry we already discussed this last night" Said Sarah
"Ah Okay" Said Beth
"Hair and makeup will be done by Veronica hopefully I'm going to call and ask her later" I said.
"Yeah she did an amazing job last Thursday" said Megan
"Yes she did that's why I want her to do it" I Said
"Okay so Veronica will do hair and makeup hopefully and Sarah and Mark is photos. Wow we are almost done planning this" Said Beth
"Awesome" I Said.
"That's really good" Said Sarah
"Yeah but fast" said Megan
"That's okay. The sooner we get this done the sooner we can get everything done and ready for the wedding" Said Beth
"Sounds good to me" I Said. We continued to talk more about the wedding. Saturday us girls were going to have the bachelorette party at Sarah's while the men had the bachelor party at Matt's house. Mainly the guys were just going to drink and watch movies and just celebrate same with the girls just in different houses. A few days before the wedding they were all going to go to the church to get things decorated and set up.
"What about you guys going to the court office?" Asked Megan
"Friday before the wedding" I said
"Okay" Said Megan
"Looks like everything is all set" said Beth. "You girls want to go out and get something to eat?"
"Sure" Said Megan
"Sounds great" Said Sarah
"Yeah I'm starving"I Said. We all grabbed our notebooks and purses and then left the house. Beth closed and locked the door. We all got in Sarah's car and then went to Bishops which was just down the road for lunch.

After lunch and we all went back home for the day me going back to Sarah's I decided to call Veronica. I had her card and number from when we went to Hair Hut last week. She answered after the second ring.
"Hello this is Veronica from Hair Hut. How can I help you?"
"Hi Veronica. It's Becky you did my hair last Thursday" I Said.
"Hello Becky how are you? How was your weekend at Niagara Falls?" Said Veronica.
I told Veronica what happened there and the proposal and Veronica was thrilled for me. Then I told her how me and Matt were going to get married at the end of the month.
"Wow that's soon isn't it?" Said Veronica
"Yes it is but Matt wants to get married then because he wants to go with me and willow back to Arizona. He even has a job lined up too" I said
"Wow that's great" said Veronica
"Yeah it is. So I have question to ask you well two actually" I said
"What's that?"Said Veronica
"Well one do you have off August 17th and two can you be the one that does my hair and makeup for my wedding day?"I Said
"Yes yes yes!" Said Veronica happily
"Yes to both your questions. I would be honored to do your hair and makeup" she added.
"Thank you so so much Veronica. How much will I owe you?"I Said
"Nothing I'll do it for free" Veronica Said
"What? Really? Are you sure?" I Said surprised
"Yes I'm positive. I want to do it for free" Said Veronica. "I don't want nothing in return just to see your happiness on your wedding day. And maybe a picture of me and you and your hair and makeup done."
"I can do that. Oh thank you so much Veronica you don't know how much this means to me" I Said
"Your welcome Becky. What time is the wedding at so I can be there early to do your hair and makeup" said Veronica
"The wedding is at 2 so come anytime in the morning. It's going to be at Seventh day Adventist church in Sayre pa" I said
"Okay got it. I'll see you there" Said Veronica
"Okay and thank you again Veronica" I Said
"Your welcome. Bye"
"Bye" we hang up and I grinned. I called Matt next to see how his day went and he answered on the first ring like he always did.
"Hey beautiful" said Matt
"Hi handsome. How was your day?" I Said
"Good went and saw my grandparents. They are very happy about us getting married and they will be there on our wedding day" said Matt
"That's great hon" I Said
"Yeah it is" said Matt. "Mom told me you girls got a lot of the wedding planning all done."
"Yeah it really didn't take us as long as I thought it would" I Said
"And I really like how we are getting married on our anniversary" Said Matt
I blushed and smiled. "Me too. I'm glad I chose that day" I Said
"As am i" said Matt. "Speaking of days tomorrow is your birthday"
"Yes matti know it is. I don't want anything" I said. "I'm just happy I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with you"
"I know love but I still want to do something for your birthday" Said Matt
"Okay if you want to hon" I said
"Okay. I'll pick you up tomorrow at around 6" Said Matt
"Okay honey. I love you" I said
"I love you too Becky. So so much" said Matt. We talked for a few hours me telling him all the wedding details and that Veronica was going to do my hair and makeup like she did the day before he proposed to me.
"Wow Beck you guys did get a lot of planning and stuff done" said Matt
"Yes we did, now I can't wait to be married to you" I Said
"And I cant wait to be married to you love" said Matt. "I have to get going. Jordan needs help with something he's making. Ill call you tomorrow morning. I love you so much Becky"
"I love you too Matt. Bye hon" I said
"Bye" Said Matt. Me and Matt hung up just as Sarah and willow walked in,
"Hey Becky ready for dinner?"Said Sarah
"Sure" I Said
"Dinner is done mommy. Let's go eat"said willow. She grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room and into the kitchen. We all sat down at the table and started eating dinner. After dinner was over and cleanup was done I got willow ready for bed. Then we we all watched a movie in the living room together. Willow fell asleep on the floor in the living room so mark picked her up and put her to bed. Me mark and Sarah sat in the living room and talked about the wedding coming up and tomorrow for my birthday. Sarah was taking me and willow out shopping and then we were going to meet my sister Megan for lunch. Then Matt was going to pick me up at Sarah's for the rest of the night. 'I wonder what he has planned for me for my birthday'I thought to myself before I went and got ready for bed.
